In the market there are a few options for capped:
Shaped and cheap. We can also whack on shaping profiles to capped. I honestly think it's backwards though.
Capped cheap: and enjoy capacity problems on the network for 6 months of every year
Capped Crystal Web: a sustainable price for what you get
And then you have capped from other ISPs that is more expensive than us as well. Our price goes down to R2.09 per gig on the larger capped deals which is where the market is headed in any case.

I completely agree with you. Btw, from your "Capped Cheap" remark, I assume you've been reading the other threads![]()
we're basically all sheltered suburban white girls compared to the other threads...........

What is the current situation on capped accounts? I can't find any info on your website.
hi guys
moving houses next month. Currently using Afrihost business uncapped.
I use my connection to download via usenet and p2p, average about 250GB a month- but that included streaming a ***** load via youtube, netflix and popcorn time.
My questions to current Crystal Web users are:
1. Will I still be able to download via usenet and p2p without any problems?
2. Will popcorn time stream without any problems? As I understand it, it's basically a p2p client that streams as it downloads.
1. Yes, while within your unshaped data you should see line speed on p2p and nntp. I been purposefully downloading all my content using p2p to test this out and can confirm that if there's enough seeds I get between 400-420kB/s. (I plan testing out the shaper this month so I'll know how it affects downloads via p2p and nntp)
2. Popcorntime works great - I have it installed on my phone and on my tv stick. (I'll test this out too when my unshaped data is finished)
Great stuff. Keep us posted.![]()
I don't get the obsession with getting capped accounts when the CW uncapped works so great
/shrugs shoulders
Best bet is just get uncapped with a higher unshaped data portion that way you have a big cap and don't have to worry about being cut off because your cap is depleted![]()
Let me rephrase: Next time you are in the Pretoria area, I'll buy you a beer.
Pta is not that bad, much better than Jhb, me thinks.![]()
I need two concurrent connections.
