That way there's no complex QoS and support issues are limited on these types of accounts on this basis.

As for launch products, they will, well, be released upon launch.

I can see the logic here and fully agree about what business packages have become but don't you think this would cause some issues for business's if they actually needed something that depended on the bit torrent protocol ? Bittorrent whilst I am sure majority illegal use is not purely used for that.

I keep a folder between my home and work synchronized by using btssync for example

You might view it as such, but it might be the only workable solution to avert what I suspect has happened with some other ISPs... Because their 'business' accounts run unrestricted 24/7 all the people attempting to download the internet have migrated there. The nett effect is that the home accounts are rendered near useless for just about anything beyond watching YouTube videos, in order to satiate the demand for bandwidth from business account holders.

This seems perfectly fine, especially seeing that it is disclosed upfront. If you want to use P2P inside of office hours, simply look elsewhere.
 
This is a serious question, and it relates to aggressive Crystal Web PR.

Apparently they are upset with me for creating this useful thread - saying it was malicious (crazy paranoia hey!) .

Can the admins please rather delete this thread? I don't want to keep getting followed around and insulted in every topic with their hot-head director!

Simple and straightforward.

Makes sense.

You guys sound like you can be spoken to, so I'm assuming that if there is a business who requires legitimate p2p you'll have a product for them.
 
Of course this very reason may make crystal web an isp of choice for a LOT of businesses

Serious question.....why create the this thread in the first place? When I contacted Crystal Web they very specifically asked me not divulge anything publicly yet which I respected as they were MORE than willing to answer any of my questions via e-mail. Until they have officially launched of course.

You are more than welcome to PM the mods yourself, or report bad posts as you encounter them, as per the forum rules.

What use do businesses have for allowing their users p2p traffic? Remember that this is for business accounts. Consumer accounts work the way you suggested.

If the need arises, we'll offer a product to suit those needs. We're not going after the large corporate market. Our business accounts are intended for SMMEs. We have other solutions for large corporates. SMMEs need something simple that doesn't require constant QoS management. This product suits them perfectly.

Oh absolutely. We'll even turn a blind eye to VPN p2p on the odd occasion if needed in a business environment. But if you need/want p2p during the day on a business account then contact us or check the website (once launched) for something tailored more to your requirements. We'll always bend over backwards to accommodate someone if there is a business case to do so.

TBC. I wish we could update the first post of this thread with this sort of detail as it keeps coming up. We will only launch after extensive testing of our site, portals, and systems are complete. They're currently in development phase, and it would be premature for me to offer a date. What I will say is that as we are able to open new products to mybroadband members we will.

This. I was very surprised to see this thread popping up as they specifically asked to lay low for the time being. Add to that, I really don't see how you are being attacked.

@Crystal, I suggest creating your own thread where you are the owner, and post FAQ's on the first page i.e website, launch date etc. As these questions are coming about every day.
