CW just paused my AH account now, so I am with you guys again for July. If all goes well I will officially be with you from 1 August. Looking forward to use the CW account in July. I do a lot of stock trading so hope the CW line is on par for July.

My area is already Fibre active. Excited to see what you guys will have to offer.

Great performance in the last while.
Nothing to complain about at all.
+1

Crystal Web is creating awfully high standards. Hope they can maintain it unlike other ISPs that start well, then inevitably degrade to throttling/shaping so the internet becomes unusable because they have over sold their product.

Have officially run out of stuff to download because of Crystal Web. :D

Payl/DJ, how will it work when telkom does the FTTH. Do you guys still have to pay overheads and IPC to the extent that you do currently, or will you get better prices per Mbit?

Hey CW
Just wanted to say thanks :) I think this is one of the highest usage months I've ever had, largely due to my one drive dying and having to re-download some of my steam games again.

As far as I could see, full line speed the whole way through!

Dear CW,

I would like to change my ISP in the next few days. Can someone revert as to when we can start moving to CW?

Thanks!

Because of the nature of the disjointed rollouts of fibre in SA it becomes project-specific.

Thanks for the great feedback, guys. We certainly do set high standards of ourselves and we expect to be held to these standards by our customers moving forward. We have no plans nor hidden intentions to ever oversell our products, and we have sufficient capacity to ensure that.

So where does one get info on prices?

For now please drop a mail to [email protected]

There is constant development on our end, but it's incredibly complex and we will not dish up the website to customers until we're happy that it has been tested properly.

Has anybody tried streaming from twitch.tv on Crystal Web? I wanted to try myself, but all their trial accounts are in use :(

Many existing fibre deployments (e.g. SmartVillage) have similar models to Telkom (e.g. line rental plus data line cost plus isp cost) but the rate they charge ISPs for access to their access network is significantly higher.

Anyone else had the odd disconnect issue using the IS backbone the last few days? Had the odd disconnect over the weekend, hadn't happended before.

there is also a transparency deficit from operators on this front, which is frustratingly ironic when the same operators brazenly seek a free (or at least subsidized) ride on Telkom's infrastructure
