Definately not...

I dunno,250GB?

Close. Will update tonight when I get my last daily usage email for the month. I really have downloaded quite bit this month. Don't plan on doing this every month. Just wanted to shake down the new ISP properly.

@CW: Is there a huge batch of new users going online at 12pm? Will there be a big delay in activation?

There is. Having learned from last month, we've staggered the process over an hour or so starting at 2am as the servers are updating other info at midnight as well, which can cause us to be up till 10am the next day fixing things. So expect details to roll out as of 2am tomorrow morning.

We don't believe in killing animals, so I hope you have a very big car.

And let's hope the elephant has a predilection for knobs up it bum. Good luck changing gears.

EDIT: I wonder if there's a separate e-toll for elephant transport?

hahahaha well done sir.

Honest question....will the influx of new users impact the performance of the network?

It shouldn't at all, no. If you notice a degradation of performance at this time please let our support know.

CW, My router is now already trying to log in. Would this cause an issue? My account should be active as of tomorrow (POP sent from FNB online banking)

Even with the international issues recently, you guys really have set the bar very damn high. Like I said, earlier, I have no intention of getting in excess of 200GB from the account again as I just wanted to see where you would draw the line this month (still waiting for line to be drawn LOL).

You live, you learn...some faster than others.

Tomorrow cannot come fast enough. I am tired of having to juggle 2 different accounts depending on what time of day I would like to use my internet connection.

unless stated in a product FUP (and we are very strongly in favour of products that allow us to give users the best possible internet experience even if it involves a fair use number at which the character of the account changes - like introducing shaping) we won't draw a line on the quantity of data downloaded - there might be an inconvenience on the user if one of our systems gets confused (if a line has been uploading an exceptional amount of traffic suddenly there is a fear that it has been misappropriated) but in principle unless part of a product the line is not drawn at usage figures.

Somehow i don't think 200gb would be crossing a line(i hope) even telkom lets you move around 300gb on a 4mb uncapped before even marking you as a power user

Also theres much more important things than data moved.....like the type of data and the time you moved it :/

It shouldn't pose a problem as long as your router doesn't automatically disconnect after a set number of attempts. Most routers will disconnect but then start the auth process again in a few minutes.

Ummmmm......when last did you use Telkom (or read the feedback thread)?

Just wanted to ask if Crystal Web will have an online form?... to register so that we don't have to email back and forth or download a form...It would be quite nice to do it online.

As a temp measure the problem with this sort of thing is complicated to be honest. It has to do with merchant accounts, compliance, and integrations. Once a form exists, the complete integration should be done, so this is being left for our launch when we release the full website and customer portal.

So yes, it is certainly coming, but for the time being we're processing signups "semi"-manually.

Yah, No.
Things have changed at Telkom.
I cancelled my account last month.

Not a contest merely rebutting your comment.

You're one in a million MickeyD.
I couldn't handle the poor account anymore.
Then again, I stopped downloading for the most part as my AH account could stream perfectly next to Telkom's poor performance.

CW gives me the best of both worlds though.

 It helped that I could get my port transferred to an IMAX using metro-ethernet backhaul! Before that I was pulling out what little hair I have left. Since then I'm pretty happy. So, in my case, it was a physical ADSL issue and not an ISP issue.
