We shape p2p and nntp traffic. We have a temporary policy in place that shapes p2p and nntp on a rolling usage basis until we launch our full customer relation agreement that involves shaping p2p and nntp only during business hours and released dynamically thereafter.

We're going to keep the AUP as pure and simple as possible.

Also on the FUP side, we don't have a threshold on usage at all yet. But if we do ever introduce one, we'll make it fair, and also give our customers options to avoid being negatively affected by it. We actually see any FUP introduction if it ever happens on our end as an opportunity to limit costs for users rather than us. Remember that our management is made up of loyal mybroadband members for years. We know what users want, and we're doing everything we can to ensure that you can make the best connection with Crystal Web.

NNTP is NZB downloads? Excuse the noob question. Not to clued up.

NZB is the file that has a list of pointers to fetch parts of a file. NNTP is the protocol.

So yeah, downloading a file from an NZB uses an NNTP service. :)

This isn't cool at all. No offence to Crystal Web, but when I joined I was assured ONLY p2p (aka torrents) would be shaped. Now its NZBs and torrents.

When they started they called nzbs p2p, and then a little later on they clarified (there was even a discussion between sinbad and I about p2p and s2p) . So for about half this thread, they have been clear on the shaping.

I have not noticed any form of shaping so if it is being applied it is so subtle that it's unnoticeable.

Congratulations to Crystal Web on the achievement of this milestone. May you guys go from strength to strength. :)

I beg to differ. When they started I specifically asked what is shaped and what not. I was very specifically ONLY P2P. And very specifically NOT NNTP.

Meh... tried to switch over at midnight last night..

Think my router has decided to call it a day though :(..*mutter*

Anyone having issues with streaming Twitch? International issues fixed yet?

Last night and this morning, my international was still far from running to even half line speed. So can only assume international isn't fixed. Friday is the deadline though.

Begging to differ is not going to change the reality of anything I said... This was adjusted many moons ago in this thread. Did you ignore all the discussion (and there was a lot) around the topic?

Twitch works nicely on my side.

Thanks, my Twitch buffers every 10 seconds, will wait until International is fixed, hope this is fixed before the Dota2 Internationals start :)

AFAIK NNTP has always fallen under the banner of p2p.
