On 1080p it buffered once (at 0:22) very briefly (< 0.5sec).
CW 4Mb uncapped (Cybersmart), Jhb, DNS = Unotelly's

Buffered at 0:51 for half a second @ 1080p. CW 4Mbps uncapped. CW-assigned DNS. Durban.
Very interesting. You have the same account as I do, and you got similar results, however I'm using Unotelly DNS. So it seems that the Unotelly DNS is seeing that it is not a "special" url and is routing my request to the correct DNS server.

to be fair depending on the that youtube video is locally cached so there's no international at all so routing is a moot point
(i already said that i got 0.1sec buffering @1080p cape town(left that out but......it is listed as my location lol) unlocator dns)

im going to look for a non locally hosted vid]
EDIT:meh someones downloading on my line ill have to look later :/

But now I know that the Unotelly DNS is not pointing me to an overseas server, but is correctly routing me to the locally cached server.

I could watch it on my 4Mbps line without issue.
It defaulted to 480, but I could force it to 1080.

I am using smartvideo though.

I just ran it again at 1080p and this time it didn't buffer.

YouTube will often cache it on their servers if I remember correctly after it's played, so should perform better the second time around. Again, this is a little outside of our control though.

What we do is put in place policies to ensure fantastic streaming throughput.

@CW & Paul Hjul. I don't know what you guys did but the IS account for the Temporary Resolution authenticated about 12 minutes ago. Thank you very much.
