Used 22.5 GB and I really am not a downloader. On AH that would have been around 11GB. So Netflix and YouTube goes HD. Is the problem with most people latency?

nah its packet loss. i think it's because the network is currently being worked on(they did say it would be worked on till the 5th right? or did i misread that, cba to find the email posted here)

For example, everything local is full line speed around 440KBps such as YouTube.
But everything else is going between 70KB and 100KB no matter how many connections you use.

As i said it's insane packet loss
ive been monitoring for an hour or so now and it is some of the worst packet loss i've ever seen.....im sure it's temporary....well it better be :P

I am actually very puzzled by the IS account still working but it is something that depends on dealing with provider partners - and therefore working hours

This weekend has been really odd in terms of performance. We haven't been appraised of any changes to ETAs or of a major problem and consequently are dependent on hard data - and we need to sort out individual case anomalies, so please feedback is great - we prefer emails to support with some data on them but we really do, within some of the constraints that commercial agreements and relationships create, strive to be transparent.

Once again - my apologies for any inconvenience that IS account may cause. I don't mind helping support too much, as long as it doesn't take a chunk out of my very limited gaming time.

we will get in touch tomorrow, any inconvenience is created by a provider or one of our staff making a mistake and it is ours to apologise for

Speaking of IS acounts still working, last week I had a problem with my router. It was stuck on my free afrihost account and it refused to update the ISP settings even after rebooting. I then restored the router settings from a saved backup file which thankfully fixed the problem. I then noticed that it had successfully connected to my old OW account which had been saved in the backup file. I quickly changed the ISP settings before OW think that I want to renew. But interesting that the account still works 2 months after cancelling.

Will be at work tomorrow, but feel free to drop me a mail and I will check it out when I get home tomorrow.

Because if they closed it then they would have had to move the other person using the same account as well. ;)

Wife crapped me out for taking the whole day to download a Linux distribution on a 10mb line via nzb

Speed is HORRENDOUS !! If I do not see MUCH better performance by the 19th - I'm outta here.

one minute it flies next things are dead
yeh the packlet loss is nearly 99% on prolonged downloads atm (havn't found any connections that last more than a couple min without dropping and restarting) download my **** in parts all with multiple thread so 60 thread altogether split between 3 files and it's getting like 300-400kBps(which is bad considering number of active connections lol and that i'm on a 10mb unc@20mb line so its not congested or line fault)
that is why i tihnk torrents might be able to bypass the problem with raw number of connections

Nothing to take back. That is what will happen if we apply OMB's approach which is appalling TBH.

Any form dictatorship, censorship or reply policing is wrong.

No, we're not debating Gaza here which is all about opinion. Here you have a choice on a consumer product, take it or leave, If it's not working for you stop bitching and take your business elsewhere. Simple.

You've clearly lost the plot. Thank god you are not running the show either on the forum or this ISP.
