This may seem stupid, but have you tried pointing your Linux mirrors to IS? Updates go line-speed this side.

No I haven't and I'm not even sure how to do it. But I don't want to do a whole setup just to be able to use my internet...

support "fixed" my line. and now its useless.

Maybe something else went wrong during the upgrade process...

you know that a simple 5 minutes on support could possibly solve this.. and if it ends up in hours, then by all means cancel.. but if you can't even be bothered to contact support to try and resolve the problem then there is no pleasing you, and you will constantly have "bad service" from all ISPs if you ask me.

Is the 41.x.x.x ****ed or the 105.x.x.x or both ****ed? Trying to workout which one is more ****ed than the other...

41 is ****ed 105 is working.......though im pretty sure my problem had nothing to do with ip range and paul fixed my account :P getting line speed on anything I try atm

So the 105.x.x.x is suppose to work and the 41.x.x.x not.

Oh no, it's not a big thing to do. Just Google it, it takes a few seconds.
I usually do it even if I have a 100Mbps connection on a server.

Support fixed an authentication issue you experienced last night and it looks like the RADIUS tags for your account were reset and it popped you on the incorrect IP range for some reason. Would have taken all of 5 minutes to resolve, but just needed your details via support to do so.

If you'd like to, please contact us so we can fix it.

mika1000, what do you have to loose? Pop support an email, before you pop an artery, let them try to fix it.

If you still don't like it, opt out by the latest on the 19th.

There is a problem with some (far too many - but one is too many) customers being eroneously on the wrong IP range and this is causing havoc. If you are affected by this please do drop an email to support or enter live chat. I've asked the support desk to keep the live chat open if the client is amenable as it makes it easier , however one we've logged the chat if it is closed up we have a ticket process to continue with.
A one liner email including your crystalweb user name will help us a lot - even if it includes a few choice expletives and otherwise just includes the username, so
"Crystalpooheads, <username> internets is on the 41 IP" will be helpful

Leave Mika1000, he's made his decision. A very poor decision, yet his decision to make. He wants to leave, let him. He'll be back eventually ;)

Oh lord. The anc stuffed up crystal web's routing!

I can categorically state that neither the ANC, nor the DA, nor any other major political party or even any of the minor political parties, are responsible for the routing errors

Political parties know nothing about network routing (as for re-rerouting funds, well ...)

to many errors are being made. one of the reasons this country are in such a mess.

Oh the irony :p

In all fairness, I feel your pain. Hopefully things are more reliable soon and then people who aren't willing to deal with a beta-level product will be happy as well.

I see what you did there... ;D I love it! Once you're a successful ISP, perhaps you would consider running for public office as well :D

God no. Paul giving a public speech would render me comatose!

;-)
/hugs

K... so just trying out my CW account again. FTP @ 5kbps and NNTP @ 60 kbps. MyBB loads fine, AMD.com taking forever... 105.x.x.x in Centurion.

I assume this is the general problem, and not me specifically... i.e. must i contact support?
