Gief logon! Much love tweeted!

Can customise the password for you, but the usernames are being set by our support staff upon creation and I'm not going to add any more complexity to the way they're working at the moment. They're "in the zone" if such a thing exists in support.

Haha, good to hear...
I'm not too concerned about any of that, as it's mostly a one-time thing.

The customized password could be nice-to-have on the portal though. :p

Thats what I want to do, manage my bandwidth. I love my wife to bits but when she starts streaming Netflix and my D3 latency goes through the roof it makes for a sad household. :p So follow up questions, can I turn my N600 into a dummy switch just to provide wireless? It should be possible, but before I buy I want to ask ;).

Normally people would put the ADSL router in bridge mode so the RB can dial the modem on the router, regarding wireless I am clueless there as all my devices are independent. My guess is that the wireless functionality of the router will still work as it should. DCHP Server should be turned off on the N600 though as the RB will be taking over that part.

I would doubt that beyond Telkom, anyone in SA owns an entire Class A block of IP Addresses.

/Looks at his Netgear N600...

So to the Mikrotik pushers, what setup do I need to mirror the Netgear? The wireless is needed badly and I noticed the boards posted the last couple of pages lack wireless. I prefer all-in-one solutions like my current Netgear and I would hate to have to buy 2 sets of equipment to get rid of one <_<.

Does MyBB have a thread for this? Or should we keep on spamming this one? :p

/BTW I paid my CW Twitter bribe and I now have my new details! :p
There is versions of those boards that has built-in wireless.

The posted boards thus far is the RB750 or the RB750GL. Those are good, but to get wireless you want the RB751 or RB751G.
To explain how the numbers work, for example in RB751G.
RB = Routerboard, this is generic and always the same.
7 = Series #, so this is the 7 series router.
5 = 5 ethernet ports
1 = 1 wireless port
G = ethernet ports are gig ports instead of 100Mb fastethernet ports.

The L I am not 100% sure yet, haven't looked it up.

So what you want, is either the RB751 with a G or not, or the newer RB951 or RB951G.
RB951 -> http://www.scoopdistribution.co.za/product_info.php/routerboard-951-lan-24ghz-p-1330
RB951G -> http://www.scoopdistribution.co.za/product_info.php/routerboard-951g-gigabit-24ghz-p-1453

I personally currently use a RB751G which has 5x 1Gbps ports and 1x internal wireless antenna for my phones and laptops ect.

I think the RB751 and RB751G has been phased out in favor of the RB951 and RB951G.

New login details received....

My CW account has been performing really well since I've gotten it. Had minor issues, but didn't report it cause CW was aware of the issues in general.

Please please let this account be as good..

L stands for light edition.

you can change the password already.(without Cw help it's a secret though)

btw 1122 is so last decade....it's qwerty now.

Dude, we must use the l33t3st h4x0r details: p455w0rd is now the most unhackable password out there!
