Just checked and nothing on our end is blocking connections to NZBs at all.

Low customer numbers equals low churn equals better chance of you getting the same ip again

Makes sense. If I would have powered the router down for a longer time someone else may have grabbed that IP address. Anyway I've become quite 'attached' to that Ip address. I'll miss it when it goes :)
 
How's the unshaped usage coming along CW? Has it quietened down a bit since the Thursday/Friday catchup downloads?
 
Not much to be honest. Running today, right now, at just under 15% less than maximum peak.

*sigh* On another note I stopped receiving the daily usage emails. That said they always showed 0mb which I'm sure was wrong in any case. Also thanks to CW I have finally switched over to using Netflix & Hulu as of today :D Monochoice cancellation pending....

Thank you CW interest is stable and available when I needed it.. Only did about 10gb so far and have used every bit of it.

Instead of cancelling you can downgrade to Easyview which is R29 per month, and then if there is a sporting event or something that you must see, you can upgrade for a day or two and then downgrade again. I believe they will charge you pro-rata for the month.

wow that would be quite a clever strategy for multichoice to actually embark on - a base fee that allows you to do day to day pro-rata access to higher packages, add a prepaid element to it and they can actually do quite well

ah right so you can only do this once a month - I honestly think it would be a very sensible for customers with a core cost (R29 seems a little low with my Sunday afternoon maths but R49 seems a little high - R210 prepaid for 6 months might be the mark) which is then topped up with a daily rate could be a way to break what in addition to Naspers evilness is a genuine pricing conundrum on PayTV
 
CW you have been a rock star all weekend. Apologies but our household has been pumping Internet. Boeing going like a jet! Wife and I been watching Liam Neeson movie collection
