Crystal Web (NEW ISP) ADSL Feedback

Hey guys,

We've picked up a bug in the auto-provisioning system. It's currently adding the shaping policy tag at the correct point of usage but not provisioning at the correct speeds thereafter. Some customers have gone rather dilly with their usage and are close to whacking their unshaped allocation, so rather than there be any issues I've asked our support to just manually provision a new account for you instead. Apologies, this is being looked at and fixed as we speak, but as a part of our proactive support we've identified this before it has affected anyone.

Apologies for the inconvenience - it will be resolved as soon as possible. As we move over to the new backend system this won't pose an issue any longer and you'll all be using your @crystadsl.co.za permanent logins moving forward.

So this counts for the account I am on as well? The R429 a month 4mbps uncapped fusion?

Anyone having issues with the crystal web news server?
I can't connect at all or ping the IP.
I did log a call with support already, just wanna know if it's not just me.

Such a mission with my qos, every time I change the login I have to change all my mangle rules. :( But yeah it takes only a minute, so guess I can't complain to much.

Oi, no squatting, please. :D

It's still populating over some of Telkom's network which is why it's not yet operational for the public.

Yes. Will try to have it fixed for all as soon as possible though.

I'll ask our news server partners to look into this for you.

So will our logins change from [email protected] to [email protected]?

We're going to try to do some realm aliasing, but if not then it may need to be changed - the final change. It does mean that you'll get some cool new toys in the portal to play with.

why?

CW, I am no network specialist so need to ask if you are able to 'pre setup' the prescribed Mikrotik's QOS to best suit your infrastructure, or is that not possible?

This is of course assuming ones ducks are being lined up :D

Edit: Reason for my asking is that I'd like one, but not sure I'd get the setup right.

Started it up and it runs line speed for me.

Other ISP's take note - this is what they call efficiency :D

We can, but customers can change at their leisure so it won't result in any product development with respect to the network.

As do I... when this fekking wedding shyte is over.. my cousin will pay for having a wedding at this time.

seriously though. My replacement router is FINALLY on its way to me, so I need to learn stuff ;)

Not really such a mission. For your q tree to work properly you have to have mangle rules. For instance if you want to limit the upload of your entire network you will have a rule that limits 192.168.1.0/24 for instance. You will have source and destination addressed and so forth, each mangle rule has a connection tab. So with new login's it is go into rule, click connection tab and change to new ISP and done. But me being me I have mangle rules for even my phones under their own category so it takes about two minutes to go through all the rules and change them, not that I mind to lol.

I really wouldn't mind my unshaped allocation running at full line speed, and then reverting back to the purchased account speed when the unshaped data has been used up.
