There aren't really long term existing players I'd be happy with tbh... My best experience (long term) has been with Telkom directly oddly enough.

They simply can't seem to get their lines moved to the holding pool. They are being held hostage by CW/Evo as Openserve doesn't want to follow through until outstanding matters are resolved.

I remember those says well.

R680 for a 512kbps connection, R219 for 3GB data, and then you had to pay analogue line rental on top of that.

It started with unlimited local data, but that stopped later, which left users with only 3GB of usage per month.

The slower speeds came later. It launched with 512, after which slower speeds were launched (I think the slowest was 192kbps).

I might agree to that, but then what can you do? My line was 2 weeks with Openseve before CISP got it coming over from CW. From the DSL stickied thread we can clearly see that people are struggling to get out, but the spat or whatever it is between CW and OS stays unresolved.
