So my international connection is working at 0.8 mbps, yes, small b on a 100mbps line. Vumatel.

I contacted cw support who made me run all sorts of bull**** local tests.

Eventually I get tired of the support person diverting the issue and wasting my time.

A ticket is created and they inform me that there is a break on SAT 3. However they've rerouted traffic.

My connection is still useless. I ask them why the break is not on their network page...

They tell me "but it was on the news"

I'm terribly disappointed. I would have been quite understanding if you had simply been honest from the start and not wasted my time, assuming the SAT 3 break is the reason for the useless connection.

Is this what we can expect from CW going forward?

Can confirm. I'm on Vumatel + CW 50/50 and international is currently unusable. 0.5% throughput is not redundancy :(

I understand **** happens.

But for the staff to not be aware, or to be aware and **** you around instead of helping, when a major issue hits, is really bloody scary.

Hasn't the cable been broken for a few days? I did not experience this last night...

I hope you're on a month-to-month contract. If so, just leave.

Throw your toys and try get Crystal Web to carry the costs of your migration, seeing as they're not delivering any reasonable expectation of service?

Good idea. I'll quote you

I can report that I have had no issues with Cybersmart's lightspeed for the past two and a half years

We moved to fiber recently (10 days ago) and we did not experience any improvement, I thought that maybe this was issue with capped Vs uncapped account.

After seeing your posts I did few tests and local is fine but international is @#$@# EU is around 5mb/ps but US is between 1 and 3 mb/ps.

Will have to report it.

Now tested it again and all looks OK?!?!?!

What costs are there to migrate?

Update on Crystal web international speeds/availability - still horrific

Tried to call them but it says "unavailable" as if I'm calling a person with a switched off cellphone :wtf:
