CSGO Sticky thread

I just tested my command line options:

-novid -tickrate 128 -high -threads 8 -d3d9ex -nojoy 1 +mat_queue_mode 2 +exec autoexec.cfg

Definitely smoother.

Tested that change also...slightly higher FPS, definitely faster alt+tabbing.

Average fps without -d3d9ex : 356.94
Run 1: 362.90
Run 2: 353.30
Run 3: 354.62

Average with -d3d9ex : 384.89
Run 1: 392.37
Run 2: 377.68
Run 3: 384.63

But that’s like... twice as betterer

That's probably how Vawlf feels when he plays on workshop maps...twice as good as matchmaking :p

That is some good launch option, my mouse lag is magically gone using these launch options.

Source v2 is a meaningless upgrade for CSGO. No benefit for the game other than improved physics. Dota 2 required Source v2 for a mechanical upgrade, none of which is, again, for the benefit of CSGO.

Source v2 is great for new developments and it's modular design allows for third-party developers for building on their own proprietary codes than to hack and slash into Source.

I, myself, have no idea as to why the Valve devs at CSGO is being held at gun point for upgrading Source v1 to v2. Perhaps they want to expand on the map building toolkit or enrich the ragdoll and object physics.

It is best to read what the devs wrote in that official link they posted on their Twitter page. I think many will enjoy their view of destructive map design, enhanced bullet penetration and correctly scaled hit boxes amongst others.

I only like that they are ditching Valve Anti-Cheat for Easy Anti-Cheat.

I get no real result form the added command. Got 3FPS more in 1 run, but otherwise no discernible change.
