I feel so guilty playing on alt accounts.
Just played a quick game late last night, alt was unranked but in the DMG range. Jumped straight into a competitive match. 1st round pistol ace... get my 1st report and told that my mother is a wonderful lady.
Decide to just take it easy and just relax and enjoy the game, team mates are all flying high so it was a good laugh.
But every kill I get the insults just keep on coming. So I gave it a bit of a go and slaughtered them for the rest of the half.
1st round CT, pistol ace again. 2 people instantly abandon the game and the remainder surrender. To the MGE/MG2 crowd, sorry not sorry.
I am in such an odd place with the game’s ranking system. Back when I started out it took a while to get to LEM, and there I was for a long time, not long after I started playing with you guys. There was the rank reset which brought back some much-needed balance, as it was really freaking hard to maintain any rank above DMG back then.
Now we are at a point where a lot of the good players regularly dwindle between LE and even SUP, and I have even seen some questionable Globals recently. There are many players who aren’t that good with very high ranks today. I am not saying people have started to hack, but there is a good dose of boosting going on. We have had a high-rank games against SUPs and Globals where we, who aren’t regulars by standard, was the better team by quite a margin.
I guess the ranks have reached a point, already some time ago, where is just unbalanced. Valve needs to do another reset. I read some time ago, those who dig into the game’s code that Trust Factor haven’t even been a factor for a few months now for which there may be various reasons.
I am available if you want to smurf tonight, but the rest of the weekend I need to finalise work-related assignments. I have started playing my first AC since AC 2. Wanted to start with Black Flag, but none of the titles before Origins wants to start on my current version of Windows, so now I am playing Origins which have taken me by surprise for how good it is for me.
