My mates and I are all having issues connecting from the Eastern Cape. All that we're getting is "Connecting to the CSGO network..."

Is something down? Every now and then one of us will connect and be able to play, but if you exit the game and come back in, you can't reconnect.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Seems to be fine now, I'll take it

Yes, there is an outage. Not even worth trying to play.

Need to replace my mouse. Any recommendations?
Glorious Model O or whichever variant you want.

For 800 bucks I don't think you will find better. But hang in a couple weeks and maybe black Friday will have some good deals.

The Model D matte black is 150 bucks cheaper than the other Model D's...weird but nice.

There's also the Cooler Master MM710 and the Corsair M55 which are a bit cheaper and also good.

Price isn't really an issue for me, I'm willing to pay for quality etc.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

Just head over to RJN, https://www.rocketjumpninja.com/, best FPS mice recommendations.

For us here in SA my FPS mice brand recommendation would be, in no order,

- CoolerMaster
- Glorious
- Logitech
- Razer

For MOBA,

- Corsair
- Logitech
- Steelseries

For hybrid,

- Corsair
- Logitech
- Razer
- Steelseries

and there are many outlier brands, but they either don't have adequate local support or don't have the local popular support,

- Cougar
- HyperX
- Roccat
- Zowie

I don't believe Steelseries makes bad FPS mice, on the contrary it is a well-respected mouse by the pro's, but as the company evolved and grown over the years they started to place more emphasis on their high-end mice, and their lower end mice seem not to be all that well-made. Just my view and opinion, many will disagree.

There are only 5 brands with true 1ms wireless tech,

- Asus
- Corsair
- Logitech
- Razer
- Steelseries

but not all mice are indeed 1ms, Logitech promotes their 1ms with their LIGHTSPEED brand.

I am also over the ultralight hype, any mouse weighing 90 grams and below is pretty much a light mouse. The new super-light cables used with some mice are as good as 'wireless', and a mouse bungie which is a gimmick does help a lot when you don't have a super light cable.

My next mouse is the Razer Viper, phenomenal mouse. In addition to this, I want to upgrade my Logitech 403 to a 703, I wanted to go PRO, but the Viper in my view is the better mouse. I game with a CoolerMaster MM710, but with time I realised that I am happier with the 403 in my hand.

EDIT: Fixed Steelseries have had 1ms wireless tech since late 2017 IIRC

I like the look of the HyperX Pulsefire Haste too, should make the Cooler Master obsolete.

It looks good, yes. I am also glad that it is priced accordingly, but when it will be stocked here I don't know. The latest MM710 revision is build well, CoolerMaster have resolved various issues they had with the early production cycles.

The Haste looks like they copied VAXEE (which is basically non-BENQ Zowie reborn) and added grips like FinalMouse.

HyperX is like Glorious, they copy what works and make it lighter. It is like their Cloud II's which is Takstar Pro 80's with slight acoustic changes which is again a headphone based on Beyerdynamics DT 770's, but not an exact copy.

Logitech did the same with the 403, they copied the Zowie design philosophy, and now have 3 models based on it. Many other brands does this, copy.

You guys should see the patents Logitech have recently submitted, and many have been approved. They are patent trolling that which works. They are also making big moves on gaming audio, again, by copying what works in the headphone industry. I don't like when companies does this, it is killing innovation, and then turn licensing schemes into revenue. It won't stop the Chinese

At least Logitech is pushing new products, but some devices they sell like their bluetooth receivers are rebrands with a huge mark-up.

I always thought Kingston was a Chinese company, they are European and based in the UK.

Glorious now have a wireless mouse, but that tech surely can't be their own. I mean, all '1ms' wireless tech is proprietary.

The G703 is a master piece. Going wireless is the best thing I ever did. Now I can move my mouse off my desk and still it those 60 degree shots without hitting my nose

The irony of being an Eagle in CSGO is the ability of staying on the surface and not flying off the surface.

I can stay on the surface, only issue is flicking up. I don't have as much desk space as I'd like to have so I hit a monitor
