CSGO Sticky thread

Concerning cheats, so far my local experience has been for the most part clean. I have had no more than four suspicions, of which I only reported three for walling. I am not talking of casual since it is always chaotic, there is no point in looking for cheaters there.

There are many new accounts that I believe are alt accounts of experienced players.

Given the bugs of the game, like the peekers advantage issue, it is a bit counterproductive to cheater detection. I don't think Valve is training VACnet at the moment anyway; there are no demos to sample and train reports on. A lot of bans which are happening now will be temp bans.

The game does feel better with every patch.
Does the game tell you if you successfully reported a cheater?

I don't know, as far as I know every player has a daily limit of making reports. A player needs to receive an X number of reports to be flagged for cheats. How it is determined whether the player cheated is unknown. As known, there have been a number of false bans, a lot of which is coming from malicious reporting. Grievers who may report others for griefing

It has now also been discovered that you don't have to tick a suspicion for reporting. You can make an empty report of which a Ticket ID will be submitted. Apparently this was already introduced in CSGO.

I can only think that when a player reaches the submission threshold, their account is temporarily banned. Then packets of the client are checked for irregularities against the parameters of the code.

For the training of their AI I think they are modelling it off their demos, assisted by player reports. It is still a massive amount of work. We already know that you can be banned for just doing a 180 within the existing parameters of the code, so it is not perfect.

This is also why I don't want to attempt to de-sub-tick my inputs.

CSGO has had a free radar hack for years. As long as you knew how to inject it, you could get away with it. This new hack seems to make direct calls. Don't know though, I saw the new cheat demoed, but they didn't show its radar.
I believe on CSGO if you were well versed in packet inspection you could use it to analyze some packets and get the radar positions

1st and only game tonight on Vertigo and a blatant cheater on the opposing team. 13 kills in three rounds all headshots. He got kicked though, so kudos to the enemy team. I do feel there is a few closet cheaters lately.

The legit cheaters. Most who do cheat use visual cheats like radar and walls. I think most cheaters are hesitant to use aim hacks.

I haven't seen a rage cheater in a long time. The spin bot types.

Valve shutting down CSGO, though the legacy version is still accessible, made a lot of cheaters mad who used to do the pvp cheater vs cheater thing on community servers. For what it is, those communities are very active.

LOL!

AMD's latest driver has made their "Anti-Lag/+" feature available for CS2, which is implemented by detouring engine dll functions. If you are an AMD customer and play CS2, DO NOT ENABLE ANTI-LAG/+; any tampering with CS code will result in a VAC ban. Once AMD ships an update we can do the work of identifying affected users and reversing their ban. @AMD

I guess all these people only played on FACEIT. Valve hasn't unbanned all Windows 7 users yet, along with those who used the legitimate script 180. People who were VAC banned due to AMD's latest driver update are also still banned. Ignoring the latter, I guess some others did indeed cheat.

Ropz is also still blowing his load on X over cheaters. I am sure that there are many legit cheaters in CS matchmaking, but they will rage against pro players, simply because they can get away with it.

Valve loves users like this one more.

On this note, AMD's later driver, which is now rolled back, also triggered bans on Apex Legends. In the case you have the latest AMD driver installed, it is best to disable Anti-Lag/+. I don't know how AMD allowed this to happen? Kudos to Nvidia who had a game-ready driver since the limited test release already. Hitching and stuttering are still not solved on AMD.

Something weird is happening lately. I join a deathmatch game, it’s populated with players with names that seem computer generated, and then there’s a vote to kick me from the game. Their avatars are all question marks ? Happens a few times every day.

Usually I’m the only non-punctuation person in the match but today I was in a game with other humans until the bots got replaced by the “?” army and we all got vote kicked mid game. What’s up with that?

XP farming for drops or to sell the accounts once it's levelled up.

This was a show match between UK and AUS during Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023 where configs were changed to bring more entertainment value.

They had me going when I first saw it. I knew the chickens couldn't be real though since it is coded. Didn't even realize it was the same game until I checked it now.
