You never stop playing like a silver.I finally ranked up to Gold Nova Tuesday night, so I should probably stop playing like a Silver now.
You are right. I played a comp one one of my old accounts that never ranked, and destroyed the silvers. Then I played a Nova match. I played like a Silver. You never stop playing like a silver.
I got destroyed by MGEs last night. 16-5. What a slaughter.

As someone who only plays casual...I don't get it.
Also, should I be playing comp? And how much would I suck at comp starting out?
ok, let me explain...
He is playing with MGI/MGII ranked players and when he gets his rank, he only gets a silver 1 rank which if u dont know is the lowest besides being unranked
2ndly
Play comp i feel its so much more enjoyable than playing casual as players dont eff around and actually play unless u are lobbied up with childish retarded kid who is trolling, which has only happened once for me...... but seriously u must play comp.

You will need to win 10 games before u get ur rank and are only allowed to win 2 games pr 24hours which is the most painful part but after u have been ranked, u can play as many comps as u want
He got the lowest rank you can possibly get: Silver1. His mates in that party are at the average skill rank of Master Guardian/ Master Guardian 2. Something like 10 ranks higher than himAs someone who only plays casual...I don't get it.
Comp and casual are similar but there are some differences. If you've learnt the angles and smokes for maps on casual then you should be alright at comps. Also, should I be playing comp? And how much would I suck at comp starting out?

What will be tricky is understand the economic flow of a comp. The game is longer in comps and you have to buy your own armour and defuse kits. That makes the economy more difficult to get right. You need to learn when to save, when to anti-eco, that going for the bomb plant, even if you lose the round, can be beneficial.
I use to play Death Match only. After playing my first comp, I've learned how to enjoy the game more.
Yea comp is definitely my favourite game mode. It is what cs is meant to be.^^^THIS
its a better explanation of why to play comp than mine lol

I calibrated at I think nova2 when starting out. I've never experienced a silver game. I'd really like to know what it is like to play at silver1 rank. Do they know you have to plant the bomb? Do they know which button shoots the gun? Do they know there are teams or do they just murder each other in spawn at the start of each round? I would love to know.
Can't remember if I added you or not. If so I'm keen to play together at some point. I'm happy with playing with any group as long as they don't rage.i started at SE but have ranked up to nova 3 trying to get the Nova 4 but its proving difficult although i dont play often, only on Friday nights really #FamilyResponsibilities

Isn't it near impossible to be Silver 1?
I don't know what happened when the ranks shifted but I know at one point more players were Global Elite than were Silver 1.
The issue is, you get a lot of players that just get new profiles to smurf. Makes it very difficult to get out of silver. Getting stuck in silver is bad, but worse is when every person you play against is smurfing. In a way, yes. All experience which makes up the ELO ranking, even those earned through the casual modes, contributes to the 1st rank earned. The chances are low that a new player will dive straight into competition, also knowing the early limitations. When playing against a Silver 1/2, the chances are good that it is an experienced player, or too experienced player. It may also be that the player is really schit at the game though...
The lower ranks have many smurfs, one moment they are silver, tomorrow they are MGE.
This is the same for most ranks though. In the MG range there are plenty of LEM smurfs. The issue is, you get a lot of players that just get new profiles to smurf.
