I'm starting to frustrate myself with inconsistent performances, so thought to check in with you guys.

I know sense is unique to everyone but I'd just like to find out how you guys managed to get to your "sweet spot".
Do you go more sensitive for less wrist/arm movement or less sensitive for more wrist/arm movement?

I've found that in some games I'm ripping guys apart with my beloved SSG,
stand up to take a quick break, come back for next game having to re-adjust my seating position slightly and then my aim will be completely off :'(

Thanks in advance for any tips / tricks :)

Same here. One second my aim is on form, stand up, sit down, and my aim is way off. My sensitivity seems ok, but not too good.

My current sensitivity is 1.98 and every once in a while I drop it down another notch, I will play with the same sensitivity for weeks and then one day I feel like it's extremely high, I then drop it some more.

The inconsistent aim I would say is definitely practise, by the time you get a couple hundred hours in you won't have that anymore, everyone has a off day and a great day but your aim won't change from good to bad in the span of 10 minutes.

Consistency is key; that I do agree with.

But I also have my off days here and there. Some days you are just really tired and your reactions suffer as a result. Other days you might be on form and get headshots left right and centre.

I went from my old wired mouse to a new wireless one with significantly less DPI so I had to up my sensitivity quite a bit in CS and within Windows. But I still manage. I just have to adjust my 'flick' distance and compensate a little bit more.

It makes the game more fun TBH, one more dynamic to worry about

Thanks for the advice @Soul Assassin & @wabbit16.

I guess you guys are right, in the end it comes down to - practice makes perfect.

Also knowing your equipment is key. The CSGO subreddit has some nice topics of conversation relating to mouse sensitivity vs DPI, the effect of FPS on the overall smoothness of the game and hence your performance and various other factors.

Once you know what your equipment is capable of and how it reacts to your inputs you will find yourself much more consistent in your matches.

That said, I'm still unranked and pretty much a noob :D

I'm more than willing to try it out, but the question is, is there any other active local players? I've also read that ESEA is even more difficult than normal MM.

ESEA has a decent ZA playerbase, but it's a playerbase of above average players and pros.

yea i have read that as well.... which might be better as you can play against players that are better which means skill level increases.

That is also the reason for posting this. i want to find out who is locally playing on ESEA

You still need a team, the best avenue to pursue in order to improve your skill is through pickup games. Just take note, you will need to be able to aim.

That is the one thing I keep picking up. The solo queue thing isn't working. At a stage it was good. I got teamed with well motivated people, and people who use their mics. The past few matches, everyone kept insisting they are on a private TS server, so they won't be talking. They also just tried to mess around in mid. That ruins the game for me. It is impossible to determine where the enemies are, and to determine how hard they were hit if no one calls it out.

^This 1000x is why I'm against TS,
yes it may be beneficial in some cases but I don't see any issue with using the in-game chat? :/

I have my mouse4 mapped to talk & mouse5 to toggle mute-all and those mouse keys are situated quite perfectly above my grip.
So i really don't see any need for TS, other than having always-on talk, which I'm not a fan of either...
