I know exactly how refresh rate and FPS work thank you.

I never said you will see the difference, I'm telling you you feel the difference, the 140FPS doesn't just magically not exist.
If you have a 144hz screen yes! =D
On a 60hz you won't see or feel anything different!

That has 0 to do with your screen. That is where Raw input and so on comes on. Sound and all that has 0 to do with your screens hz or your pc fps =D Oh boy. Not sure where people get their information from. Input lag of your screen is determined by the response time. NOT the FPS! Tell em you guys are joking... please

Is this why playing CS:GO with a joystick, I always lag on aiming and end up getting killed? It works fine in Flight Simulator so what gives?

As I said, video settings is a debate all on it's own and something I try not to get involved in.

There will ALWAYS be someone to disagree with your methodology no matter what you say.

So TL;DR - use what works for you

I think the polling rate of your mouse / kb in conjunction with your monitor is what makes higher refresh rates "feel" better. A mouse and keyboard report at 200hz typically so if your monitor is displaying closer to that, it feels smoother. It's a subjective thing but I definitely feel better with the higher frame rates.

Edit: mouse more than keyboard...only like Starcraft players would use the keyboard that fast.

True yeah, if it works for you it works. But facts remain facts though.

True yeah, using the mouses native DPI for raw input will automatically feel the best and smoothest in conjunction with your screen as you mentioned. But has little to do with the fps/hz conciliation. But yeah I get what you say. Think some people other people confuse polling rate, fps, hz and all those fancy terms =D

Mine caps at 299fps. You need to look into your mouse settings though to improve your game play. There are a few settings I had to turn of on recommendation and it make a massive difference. Things like mouse acceleration and the likes. I'll check on mine tonight to give you the correct ones to turn off.

Thanks, would be interested in this.

@UrBaN963 - I am ^1pRo^4DiGy. Send me an invite, I will accept when I get home.

Will play around 7 or so...I played late last night (11pm to 12) and then couldn't sleep after. Think will try play earlier and hopefully be able to sleep.
