So what exactly is Physical evidence? Screenshot? Not like you can get physical fingerprints or something like that

You need to show a clear hijack of your account.
No idea what that is though as my son's account got hijacked but nothing was returned.
They said insufficient proof was provided even though I showed his e-mail confirmation being turned off by the hijacker and the subsequent trades.

That is exactly what i was wondering. How can you prove that to them? And what do they view as sufficient or insufficient evidence! I have heard so many different stories, it seems like Steam is not very consistent with their cases and how they deal with it

Yep, I was pretty annoyed really.
I showed what to me was clear evidence and they replied saying the evidence does not show a clear Hijack.
Basically the idea I am getting from Steam is that they won't return items anymore.
They just haven't come out and said those exact words.
 
But tbh, I have no issue with Steam's policies.
Scams and phishing is totally avoidable.

Agree 100%. If you click on an unknown link from an unknown person... Then you are going to have a bad time!
 
Just never do what I did; I got drunk at Hockey fines meeting, came home and traded an Awp Asiimov MW, M4A4 Asiimov and a Gut knife for nothing.
I forgot to add the knife I wanted in trade and the guy promptly stole my items and blocked me.

Alcohol & trading don't play nicely.

Anybody having hit register issues.


I will shoot somebody with a shotgun and see the blood on the wall but 0 Damage shows when he kills me :sick:

Or AWP to the face... his hole face is full of blood but 0 damage

What servers are you playing on? And what are your rates set to? cmd_up and down?
 
I find hit reg issues are normally related to the ISP.
Lately Afrihost has about 14% packet loss compared to other isps.

IIRC, all our local public/matchmaking servers are 64 tick. How is your FPS doing, does it drop or is it more or less stable on your graphic settings?

I am playing at default rates and fps is capped at 150 and stable.Ping is around 50-60

If I log onto css my hit reg is 100% better

I'm happy they have added an option to report derankers now.

I was about to say it's already there. But I see you can report players on the other team now. Which used to be an issue. They will tell you that the guy is grieving and ask you to report him too but could not as only that side could.
 
I was so happy with the news that they changed the game inside out with the latest update, but something is broken. SERVER LAG! The matchmaking servers are a mess.
 
Damn I'm so glad I didn't spunk over $30 on a Cyrex yesterday. I was just about to buy a MW one for $23 on opskins when I came across this thread and seen the patch notes. A1 prices are falling.

Bought a Dragon King A4 for $4 instead.
