do you mean you cant find matches at that level, hardly anyone queues? so that would suggest its a bad thing, it renders your account useless. all the rank and decal bling means nothing then?
yea im a bit old school when it comes to CS, i think if you search "rfc1337 counter strike" you might still see some old links pointing to our old clan. its from 10 years ago or something.
never needed a rank or matchmaking to play this game or get good at it. people used to follow good/hardcore players to different servers. the clan/community servers used to have their own in house pro's and pub heroes. they get banned from multiple noob servers for "cheating" etc. and stick to the servers that recognise their skill level.
imo/experience, its more fun and efficient to try something right after you saw a player do it, than watch videos on youtube. watching matches with teammates on TS or mumble is a different story, thats one way how you learn new strats with the team, you can discuss what you saw instead of seeing a fluke and think its a strat/move etc.
imo, rank/smurf is just another excuse to complain when you are getting your ass handed to you.
i dont know, maybe i was weird for looking for the elite guys so that i can learn how to take them out. i purposefully went to the skilled servers to play against them. how else do you get better? dont say youtube, there are enough idiots calling things from youtube across different games and not knowing why or how they do the same. people just see something and then believe its gospel and then rant and rage about it during games.
I suspect it's my account causing issues. Queued with someone the other day, got a match in 5 seconds. Solo queued afterwards, got a match in 10 minutes. Queued again, and gave up after half an hour.

Noob cannon doesn't bother me. He needs to hit me twice where an AWP kills with one shot. So it doesn't make sense to pay more for a less powerful gun. Same with the COD gun vs AK or M4.

Yip they've changed many of the stock sounds. I miss the distinctive AK rat-a-tat-tat
Played for the first time in a couple of days last night...the AK sound seems to affect my aim a lot. Not the first bullet but the rhythm of the sounds in a burst are slower which is affecting my burst fire.
I guess it's a different feel that I'll have to get used to.

Nea, something changed on the accuracy of the AK. Used to be pretty easy to one tap at a distance. Nearly impossible now

Yep, 9 months ago they altered the AK47 and M4A4 mechanics which resulted into numorous complaints which was then rolled back within a week to be revised, then 7 months later they introduced the new mechanics,

I also had to get used to the new mechanics, but it actually suits my play style. To take notice that I started to play the game again about a month ago, stopped around March/April. They deranked me to Nova 3, but I must say that your skill does take a knock when absent. I'm not playing anywhere near LEM skill these days.

Some advice please, I have never bothered with skins but I was thinking of either opening some crates or buying a nice skin or 2. . . . I have a ton of cases I could sell, I also have quite a few duplicate guns from drops. I only have 1 gun that is that is worth anything, a deagle.
Should I just buy a gun off the market? Should I take a chance and open a crate or 2? Should I not even bother?

Use the money you would have bought keys with and buy skins. But by them off sites not steam - about 40% cheaper. But use paypal
