CSGO Sticky thread

I think I'm Rank 2 at the moment. Only played last night so didn't get much chance to rank up. Let me check quick.
 
Didn't see a way to check my rank without logging in.

Yea should rank up decently, I mean I'm not useless, I do kill people :D

Part of the problem I've noticed is I don't yet know the maps - the typical learning curve of a new game.

I'm a GN3 now, but the derank is imminent for me as well. Maybe the alt account can go GNM.
 
Finally made it to MGE but lost 3 games in a row so will likely derank soon :p

At least I have the best rank icon thing in the game. Double crossed AKs. So lekker.

I won one, and lost two in a row and the game gave me the finger.
 
Just one tip for Compeditive: one taps are fun, but when they fail, you will get one tapped. Always be weary of a ct player with a USP'-s in the pistol rounds.

That's the one thing I forgot to mention in the other thread, I noticed you didn't really know the maps, you just started playing so that is just one of those things but after a week you will know all the Arms Race maps.

Now when you move over to Comp etc I recommend you only select the maps you remember from CS:S, they won't be exactly the same but you should still remember the basic layout of Inferno, Nuke etc.

Then when you feel you're ready to add more maps you can YouTube a pro game on that map to see the basic layout and the spots to check if T and hold if CT.

And also, be prepared to play a lot of Dust 2. That is pretty much the primary map that everyone plays on.

Nah, I am stuck on MGE and have generally lost my touch. I have been queuing with an MG/MG2 (an actual LEM) player. The last time that we had played I had the highest in-game rank, the team looked like this,

N3
N4
N4
MG2
MGE

The opponents iirc had,

N4
N4
MG
MG2
MGE

Playing with you guys I doubt that it will be ridiculous.

The other day I solo queued I ended up playing against 2 Supremes, those ranks completely unbalanced the MM. We won though :whistle:

Let's see how much practice we can get in tonight ;)

I do not care about ranks anymore tbh.
