CSGO Sticky thread

Lol. It's an effective killing weapon. I use mostly the M4 and that.

I wish they would update Arms Race again just to add all the weapons to the rotation, I think the only ones missing are the CZ and the Scout.

What does Wednesday have to do with anything?

The more you play during the week and weekend the less xp you get. First you get weekly bonus, then when that runs out you get normal xp, once that is done you get reduced xp. I am not sure what the exact amounts are though.

On Wednesday's it resets and you start with weekly bonus again

Aaaaaah okay. So I should max my play time on Wednesday basically.

Had two great games again yesterday and ranked back up to MG2.

I then decided to rather not play any further again till my skill improves. Don't want to throw the rank away again. Need to get out of this slump first.

Im so bad at this game. it's on and off for me feels like everyone is a hacker except me.. back to practicing on the red dots. :o

Red dots?

I also feel hacked at times, like yesterday when I got headshot through a wall by a desert eagle. When I watched the kill cam, I couldn't see myself so wtf.

Anyway, must just keep playing I guess.

Shooting a red dot on aim maps. Improves your flicking, reaction times and such. Pretty good for warmups as well.

Definitely sure I have no idea what this means.

You download a custom map from the workshop. It involves you standing on a platform in front of a big screen. On the screen a red dot will appear for a short duration and then vanish. Your goal is to shoot that red dot.

You can usually set how large the dot is, how long they stay on the screen for and how often they appear.

It's helpful in gettting your aim in and up to shape.

Also, some maps have certain spots that people like to stand and hide so players might fire off a shot or two and guess that there might be an enemy standing there. Other times they might know you are there by using wallhacks thus enabling them to see through walls and other solid objects.

But mostly it's just luck. I've also had shots that I've pulled off that have been very suspect :)

If you are new to the game some kind of magnetic force pulls, draws, attracts you automatically to these spots.........

:crylaugh:

After repeatedly dying in said spots you generally find other spots to hide

Awesome I shall red dot myself and see how we do. Also interesting on the sensitivity, I think I need to adjust mine, but I will play around with it and see. Not today I don't think.

Question: How much difference do graphical settings make, do you think?

You playing on a laptop without a discrete GPU is a major disadvantage, do you know how much FPS you get?

Video settings are a whole 'nother can of worms entirely...

To be honest I play on my settings as the game set it. Alles on high and 1920*1080. You will hear people argue about lower res and how frame rate affects your aim etc etc etc.

I get 100fps on Dust so I'm happy. As long as it's not below 60 I am quite content

Nope, haven't measured it.

My native res is 1366x768 so I play that, on Medium. Was using a 23" external, but then its 1920x1020 or something and it played slower, as well as looked worse.

you can type net_graph 1 into the console to get a readout of your current FPS if you are interested
