CSGO Sticky thread

Yah I know that. Just don't want any confusion. There are a lot of Globals which has never touched the pro arena. I know couple of local pro smurfs. I and Prod ran into two of them on our journey, the one actually played on his main.

*rolls eyes* This is why people like console gaming. PC gaming is like the nine circles of hell.

Nice detail, thanks for explaining :) Well I do want a team, just like a nice fun noob team where we can support each other with no judgement. I asked the guys in my office today but nobody's playing.

At the beginning, you will run into alt accounts, you will have to battle through Nova, but solo queue is only good up to MGE. Once you hit DMG, it is pure team work onwards. As suggested get into death match, it will improve your aim and reaction. Please do remember a casual match is not a competitive match, the two are worlds apart.

But yah, go Arms Race, go Demolition, it will teach you how weapons work.

I am a bit harsh in my comments though, it is only that I am protective of the pro community and I want esports to succeed in South Africa. There is really only one simple rule of CSGO, and that is to have fun. Believe me, this game improves you a lot in other FPS games as well.

Yup, DM is the easiest way to improve. The key to the game is not to rage. If someone kills you, accept it. They are better then you.

I got reminded of this over the weekend. Got one tapped all over the show. Being a Gold Nova busy ranking up, I forgot that the MM system will eventually rank .e against higher tiered players. Hackusations flew left right and centre, then I saw they were MG's.

Also agree that Casual and Competitive are worlds apart. I alternate between two profiles when I play. Both ranked similarly. One has all of my skins on, and has more wins, and the other is just to try and solo queue as far up as possible. Solo queueing isn't fun however, it often ends in tears. It is easy to solo from silver upwards. I can easily destroy silvers. I destroy Nova 1 - 3's. Once I hit the Nova Masters however, it all changes. There aim is important and Team work starts to show.

Just don't give up at the game. That is all advice I can give. Learn how to use the AK-47, USP (or P2000), M4 (or the M4 S), and the Glock. The AWP is also popular, but very hard to master. The AK is the defacto standard in the game. But that forms part of compeditive Strats. Best is to play with those basic guns till you get use to it, then start playing the rest after that.

And always remember, have fun. That is the aim of casual, to have fun. Compeditive adds a bit of seriousness but still allows you to have fun.

I am ok with dying repeatedly, but when the guy you dying to is carrying his team hard and you know your guys are the same or better lvl as you and the guy who keeps nailing those shots has only 200 hours then I normally report, even though he probably just a smurf.

So, hackers… did you guys know that you can receive a suspension when a team member has been VAC banned. They amend your CSGO rank, they amend your competitive wins and they derank your skill group, oh, and you can be suspended under the standard terms when you are regularly playing with hackers. This system has been in place with CSGO since 2014, but I know many people has recently started to complain about this through experiencing a suspension.

This is the standard message,

One or more members of your recent competitive parties were convicted of cheating and permanently banned from official CS:GO servers. All their associates, including you, have been penalized. Your CS:GO Profile Rank, competitive wins and Skill Group were adjusted.

Apparently, it targets players which are regularly playing along with a hacker(s) and perhaps hacking themselves. There is a good chance that the hacker may be on your Friend's List.

My one bud has received a 7-day vacation on his alt account this past weekend due to this reason, and apparently other players on his team too. They are unsure who the hacker may be.

EDIT:

I do report hackers on my own team. I know a hacker.

I get a few spraydowns with the silenced M4 often.

Silenced M4 is a headshot machine...but I like having boolits so I never equip it.

Still trying to remember the pull-down...the number of times I've left people alive with 88-91 damage with the M4 makes me cry.
