CSGO Sticky thread

Just played a game. Was a fight and a half. Tied. Enemy team had people ranking up. I am officially in ELO hell.

CSGO, the game that keeps giving. Keeps giving cheaters in MM and unbalanced games :(

A cheater which I reported to Valve directly is still unbanned. Usually they give you an update on your case but in my case this time around they didn't. First time, but I haven’t done this in probably over two years… so maybe things have changed or maybe my suspicion is correct that Valve only initiates ban waves at this time. I will need to wait and see what happens next week, otherwise, Valve doesn't care any more.

Valve hasn't cared for a very long time now. Blatant cheaters goo undetected for long periods of time

If a new operation drops, nobody will care in any case. Everyone will rush to unlock the next greatest thing for selling it in the Steam Marketplace. Valve happy.

True, which is all this game has become. I wonder if there is alternatives to CSGO. I hate faceit, the community surrounding Faceit is more toxic than MM. Granted that was two years ago. Bitter taste still remains.

CSGO's support team right now with their Kool-Aid,

I hate this game now. Why the **** would this game think I can beat Globals?

Don't think it was a wave, unless Valve just can't keep up with the cheats anymore

Valve made it almost impossible now for integrators to scrape Steam profiles for checking statuses. It can still be done but is a more resource-hungry process. A user can also easily circumvent it now by switching their profiles to private because then it blocks front-facing readable data. If an alt usually gets a VAC they switch to private, it also helps in hiding fake inventories. It will take a few days for some tracker to pick up any indication of a VAC wave, and gaming news will be quick to pick up on it as usual. Valve ignoring that cheats are an issue is simply an attempt at making their community accept the outcome of the circumstances.

I understand that you can't name and shame, it can get your account banned, but most developers now simply issue warning or bans if you post any player cheating on any form of media.

It is like an expectancy that players who want a user experience as promised must become compliant with the external influences and the impact thereof.

I am also sure that developers of anti-cheats are working on improving their product. It is, unfortunately, a pro-active business, just like anti-virus. The only feasible remedy at this stage is to move the client to the host in other words, cloud gaming. There will still be forms of hacks, many of which are currently used on consoles, but it will eliminate most known forms of exploits unless of course, someone hacks the host. Until then, we must hope that anti-cheats can in some ways find a vaccine and in the very least keep on trying.

While I get that, I also get that its not only devs that is to blame. By the time they patch one way of cheating there is 100 new ones. Like you said, even with Cloud gaming it will only solve the problem as long as the host isn't compromised (which can sadly happen quicker than we think). I'll keep an eye on trackers, its a pitty that cheaters get away with cheating for a long as they do. Maybe they re not cheaters and I just need to get better.

I was hoping for them to release the supposedly new operation on their birthday, but now I believe it may have been just that, birthday assets.

Valve should place more effort in fixing Steam, lately they have a lot of downtime which doesn't impact everyone, but their uptime is not as good as it has been.
