Won't say. I'm retired, just very frustrating bottom logging game after game. Somethings got to give

Lol, as I said he is lekker katterig, but he is super competitive. Clashing with teammates is inevitable. There is nothing wrong with that attitude, but don't stroke it. Huge ego, young career; typical behaviour in sp... esports.

I wouldn't go to hard on him. The organisation needs to be more accommodating. The word everyone hates to say, "inclusive". People who are or were involved in sports clubs or sports management will know what I am talking about.

What lacks in esports is that there isn't exactly depth building. They have a roster, and that is it. It is something that still needs to be solved to keep this sportsmanship alive in the long-term.

Just an opinion, I am not wanting to step on toes. I used to know people who played competively in our local scene.

Valve reportedly removed some cases from drop rates. I haven't been on the receiving end of these older cases for a long time now. The chances of having one dropped were already incredibly low. This would also mean that there aren't any more of these going into circulation. Which would mean that some cases are going to skyrocket in value.

Why they are doing this I don't know, it is not going to stop the bots. Technically they are manipulating their monopoly market, though not deliberately; it is just cause and effect. Somehow, some actors just know... This is like the crypto markets now. I just think that some are incredibly good at datamining, and hence are acting on that information.

Valve needs to manage this situation. They created this beast, and only they can put it back into the bottle.

That said, I see some third-party "brokers" have gone broke. I just think they took the cash they made, and closed before the inevetible. I am pretty sure that some skin markets are behind some bots.

All that chart really proves is when people are starting to play on FACEIT, get employed, and then gradually stop playing on FACEIT. I am quite sure that CS2's own charts would be a bit more narrative shaking. I know several casual competitive players in their late thirties that are above average, and being above average in CS2 is no easy task.

Think a lot of it has to do with if you ever played CS from a younger age. If you were good, you should be able to get reasonably close to your peak when you were younger.

If you're only starting to play CS as a 35-year-old, I don't think you can ever hope to reach the same heights.

The Fourth Season

Premier Season Four is here, and it brings a host of community content, in-game items, gameplay tweaks, and bug fixes along with it!

Anubis is back after a short vacation, and has several gameplay adjustments to show for it. The release notes have the full story, but let's just say it's good news for fans of holes. There have also been a couple of minor adjustments to SMGs, so if you've been waiting to add the MP7 or MP5-SD to your loadout, now is your time.

Speaking of which, it's time to start working toward your Season Four Medal. As before, the color of your medal will correspond to the highest CS Rating achieved during the season, and the bars will reflect your total wins, with one bar for every 25 (up to five bars). To be eligible for a medal, you'll need an account in good standing, 25 Premier match wins, and an active CSR at the end of the season.

Community Maps

With the new season comes a new set of community maps. From the winding paths of Stronghold to the active volcano of Sanctum, each map brings a ton of character and gameplay ideas to the table. Stronghold, Alpine, and Warren can be found in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes, while Poseidon and Sanctum are available in Wingman.

Weekly Care Package

Today we are introducing two new collections to your weekly care package. One has color and the other one does not. We'll let you figure out which is which.

LTD Edition

The armory also has a new entry--the AK-47 | Aphrodite. With mother-of-pearl accents and amber patina, this entry varies in both wear and pattern.

Juat been playing thr new maps..nice to have something different... Sorry they took agency away though.

No Cache. They are attempting to bring the MP7 back into the meta, making the MP5 more relevant...

All I know is, season 3 was a mess. Cheating is now rampant. When this patch rolled out, many bans were issued, and I think it may be due to them tweaking the landing times. Why? I don't know, but I assume Valve will restore these accounts as per the usual.

From my perspective, many are scripting (/macro), in particular with bhop, and that may or may not have caused subtick reporting issues, since well, it is breaking subtick updates.

Counter-Strike 2 Update

[ GAMEPLAY ]
  • Landing vertical velocity now affects landing speed penalties similar to sv_legacy_jump stamina.
[ MISC ]
  • Fixed an issue that led to a small number of users to erroneously receive a VAC ban. Those bans have been reversed.
  • Fixed a case where HUD safezone settings were not being applied.
  • Various server stability improvements.
[ MAPS ]

Anubis
  • Fixed a case where physics objects would interact with multiple overlapping convex water volumes.
  • Various player clipping adjustments.
  • Radar minimap updated to match recent changes.

Allegedly some players are still getting banned. I am curious what is being meant by a "small number"?

For those with AMD Radeon GPUs. Every GPU since Polaris has been updated with new drivers. Though Polaris and Vega only receive security patches, a driver update may not always purge the shader cache.

When you do update your driver, remember to reset the cache in both AMD Adrenalin and Steam. I noticed that only the new/updated maps had their shader cached. Those that didn't stuttered until I reset the cache.
