Apparently a major supply line broke, huge area is now without electricity.

Wondered why downdetector has a huge spike on reports for Eskom.

Fortunately I have a common area plug socket right outside my flat which is powered by the generator that I can plug into.

Straight after Garsfontein.

Sabotage?

Apparently major fire at century city is linked to the power outage
Someone mentioned sabotage, not sure if it is.

But then again people outside CBD can look forward to some further load shedding next year seeing as the CBD residents don't get load shed. :D

'The replacement of three of the steam generators on the 920MW nuclear reactor unit 2 is set to start in January 2022 in an outage planned to last 155 days. Thereafter, if all goes well, Eskom will commence the replacement of a second set of three steam generators on the 920MW reactor unit 1 in October 2022, in a similar 155-day planned outage.'

Quickly, show you voted for the DA, the power will be magically restored.

No, no no, how the DA works is:

There is a dearth of power - everyone must chip in to save power*
*except the large industries using the majority of it, who won't be mentioned much if at all.
Blame the users for wasting too much power.
Claim there is a day zero when we'll run out of power
Raise the prices for power a few thousand percent.
Keep the pricing at the new significantly raised prices when the "crisis" is over.
