No, I explicitly covered that -

Raise the prices for power a few thousand percent.
Keep the pricing at the new significantly raised prices when the "crisis" is over.

Yep, DA factions fighting amongst each other.

Viva DA Viva!

What? I am just supporting a good conspiracy theory.

His sense of humour obviously requires electricity...
Nothing like a good dose of schadenfreude to perk up all you supporters of our failed government.

A once in a blue moon catastrophic failure in the magic realms of the CoCT, compared to daily and continuous failures in the rest of the country.

That's why we can laugh about it because we don't seriously blame the DA, we're joking. Geez, some people are so sensitive

No, no no, how the DA works is:

There is a dearth of power - everyone must chip in to save power*
*except the large industries using the majority of it, who won't be mentioned much if at all.
Blame the users for wasting too much power.
Claim there is a day zero when we'll run out of power

Straight from the DA how to guide.

Our power in Somerset West was also off for a few hours yesterday. Unsure if it was planned maintenance or if something blew up.

Yup should see the moaning about how bad DA run areas are, it's like seriously try living outside of one

If we had to make a thread every time Sebenza Substation in Joburg goes down, we would need a dedicated subforum.

Parts of Cape Town were plunged into darkness on Monday evening after a "technical fault" on the grid, the city said.

Area 7, which includes Green Point, Sea Point, Camps Bay and Clifton were affected.

“City teams are hard at work fixing the unplanned fault. Unfortunately, it is not clear at this stage when power will be restored," the city said.

Seriously, Cape Town. One blackout and you guys create five threads? If you carry on behaving like this you won’t have to debate secession any more because we will KICK YOU OUT!!!
