Hahaha no , i think that was a robotic arm for the ISS .

A lot are wondering if it's going to end badly in a massive prang. Quite a high risk landing procedure.

If they pull it off, then this will be a massive boost to robotics technology. There must be some serious computing power to coordinate it all without any input from an operator at all.

But then, today you can buy a car which can parallel park itself.

Hopefully everything will go smoothly. The weather looks good for the landing although they might have some dust clouds afterwards. They also need to flip the Odyssey orbiter so it can get be in a better position to relay signals from Curiosity. One of Odysseys gyro wheels (can't recall the correct term) failed a couple of weeks ago so they are going to rely on an additional 'backup' wheel to compensate for that maneuver. Even the stuff that goes on in the background are pretty complex.

They have just issued a statement via the SPCA to inform everyone that contrary to popular belief, no cats will be harmed in the launch of this rover. Awesome news...

I always thought you were a "Cool guy" just posting on MyBB because you accidentally stumbled onto it and didn't know where to find other forums, or even knew that others existed
Thanks to this post, we can now confirm that you are just as geeky as the rest of us.

Remember DJ, being the cool guy in a group of geeks is still better than the average guy in the cool club.

Won't have any web access at that time - may even be asleep.
