Whats the normal price for if you use data on your CellC sim without a data bundle? 50c a MB?

Thanks for that. Yeah, noticed last night when I ran out it was pretty expensive. Snapped that prepaid sim card. Have no use for it at that pricing and with these levels of service. Still have my CellC postpaid account, but meh. Their data is just not worth it.
Why not buy simply buy any size data bundle? In-bundle rates are R0.15 per MB and the out-of bundle after the bundle is depleted remains at R0.15 per MB until the bundle expiry date.

I was annoyed. I dont know all the tricks and tips and when X is available and when Y is not, etc.

It is a bit of a lus having to add a bundle just to get the out of bundle rate. Doesn't really make sense. Out of bundle should be out of bundle, all @15c/meg.

Anyway, on contract for me with recurring bundles, it's not a problem. Prepaid users have more hoops to jump through.

It is not ideal, but I think it is easier to remeber bundle expiry date than keep all the time eye on the remaining bytes in bundle.

I just buy a 50 MB bundle every month on the 1st regardless. I haven't had any issues so far. Always 15c/MB.
That's on Control Chat.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but just a quick question. Can you buy a data bundle on the normal "straight contract" or must it be on the "straight top-up contract". A friend is interested in the S3 Straight 100 deal for R329 per month but the data cause concern.

Hi,

on both platforms yes you can buy the data bundle, on the top up you can either recharge and convert airtime to data or activate a recurring data bundle whereas on the open line you can only activate the recurring one.
