Current ISP useless. Need help choosing new one. Join in the fun!

Afternoon gents,

So this morning I had the absolute pleasure to cancel my services with Afrihost. Unfortunately their scale of performance only allowed me to rate at 0. I was hoping to at least hit -500. With that being said, could you please point out to me who is currently your favourite ISP and the respective product they offer.

ambroseg1, I was on home uncapped 2mb. Same that I had last year this time, just in this case I was permanently stuck on bull**** 25% download shaping, and 6.5% pvp shaping. I cant even stream 144p youtube video. I've seen the speed of smell move faster.
And quite frankly i just think that is daylight robbery since you're paying for something you get 25% utility of.

Another vote for Crystal web from me. I am on their 20mbps fusion home uncapped. Was previously on the 10mb home uncapped. Awesome so far.
 
Maxed out? on 20gigs? hahaha...yeah...not likely. Just signed up with Crystal Web. Afrihost can go suck a fat one

Just don't forget to tell the support agent that you know Gladys, it MIGHT get you a discount.
 
Moved from Afrihost to Web Africa and significantly happier with the stability and quality (both accounts were standard home uncapped packages).

IS does have a shaping policy, but even on 3/5 stars I'm still getting better service than I had with Afrihost. Streaming, downloads, gaming, etc all works great and they are R100 cheaper on the 4Mb package.
