Hi Guys,
My current ADSL contract is about to expire and I was looking at getting 1 mbps uncapped. What are the current specials out there. At the moment I want to go for MWEB because of the all inclusive option and they are very legit.
I will have some heavy downloading sometimes.
So what are my options. MWEBGuy: anything special you can offer me?

It's way better to have your line with your ISP than with Telkom - please enlighten me on the disadvantages?
I can think of a few advantages... Price, support and billing?

Advantages would be support. No middleman to deal with.

Another advantage is the freedom to change ISPs every month if one doesn't suit your needs. It happens way too often that one a person tries to transfer a line between ISPs that it gets cancelled instead, which is besides the weeks one has to wait if all goes well.

It's just not worth the hassle.

But to wait an hour to get through to Telkom support might just be the back breaker

I desperately like to change my ISP . Recently i'm using Webfrica and i'm telling you guys its ****.. They change my package to 1m business uncapped and i just start using this on Friday and its very bad. So how abt open web platinum 1MB uncapped is it any good? is any use it so far i like to get test account so b4 i sign up the with its should be good so pls if u have any thoughts pls pass it on.

For me I think yours best choices are
Telkom or Mweb (mweb probably better option if you want to game)

Sure you got the other clowns but I find especially with uncapped and even though Telkom and Mweb say they throttle bandwidth for me at least it's never happened and I am a 24/7 downloader.

Openweb will be way better.

Im sorry you would rather call Telkom than your ISP for support :confused:
Iv been there - My line was dead no voice or DSL so I had to call Telkom from my mobile - not toll free BTW.
45min later still on hold so I decided to call webafrica... got through in less than 2min and spoke to someone who knew what they where doing... has anyone got that with Telkom here? Plus the fault was resolved in less than 24hours.

Plus line transfers are all done by the ISP you dont have to lift a pen well thats my exp. atleast.

Just wait till you want to move from WebAfrica. Then we'll talk again.

Really? Why would I drive from home to work to make a call to Telkom if I have a mobile phone and better support than Telkom from my ISP - I don’t get your point?!?!
FYI I have transferred many lines in the past 2 years never had an issue the ISP took care of everything ever time with no downtime.

If you prefer to pay more, pay two bills and deal with Telkom suit yourself mate - you are one of the few.
