Griquas No. 5 didn't get enough grub at lunch. Took a bit out of a Cheetahs player's arm. Chop! Red card...

Don't think that was on purpose. Why was Ettas arm around his face? When his arm went around his face they went down as well and the fall Rory closed his jaw and was accidental. The red card should suffice and no other sanctions should warrant a suspension.

Lolies ........ Bullies getting pounded every week. Great second half by the Sharks, injected some speed and the Bullies were left dumbstruck.

When I saw those team changes on Thursday I had a feeling this weeks game was gonna be dodgy ....... our front row is shocking and the disinterest by the backs is eye opening.

That Fourie scumbag deserves a massive ban for that gouging but knowing WeePee, there won't even be a citing.

If WP plays like the last couple of weeks, the Sharks have a good chance of coming back well.

We played for 84mins this time ... and yet we can't get that illusive bonus point.

It seems Keegan disagrees with you ;)

He tweeted the following after the match, which WP won 25-19:

"Just to clear things up, there was no eye gouge from Deon, he's not that type of player. Rugby is a contact sport and these things happen."

Deon is dirty, though. Always gets involved in this sort of crap.

Like Eben? Or like Bismarck? I think that sometimes people think that hard means dirty....

If you get these two confused while watching the rugby, your GF/wife/BF/husband might not be one of the most satisfied people.

Haha. Both of those also border on dirty, tbh. Always involved in off the ball stuff, slapping people needlessly, shoving in the face etc.

And it's just plain unnecessary. You can be physical and hard without being a douche.

True :) I think that there are very few "hard" , clear players in world rugby.

Yeah, it's a fine line, no doubt. I think some shoving, frustration and so on is expected, but to get into some form of trouble in practically every game just shows some don't know how. Look at the AB forwards, they rarely get into nonsense like this.

I do think that there is a stigma surrounding countries like SA for "dirty play", where as the Kiwis play smarter less physical rugby and thus get away with a bit more.

I had this exact discussion with a china yesterday. We have the stigma, so the refs ping us like mad. Borderline transgression, we get pinged. Blatant professional foul, NZ gets a stern frown.
