does anyone know where exactly the RFID sits in a normal Access Card ?

I keep forgetting my damn card at home so i want to cut it out and glue it to my Car Keys.

if its a card then the actual rfid chip could be anywhere in it depending on manufacturer. Most of the ones I have seen are either just above half way up in the middle, some off to the right top corner. Its just two laminated pieces of plastic though so if you hold it up to a really bright light then you might see the chip. Otherwise ask your company to rather give you the keyfob version which is meant to go on a keyring.

On my old access card, I could see the chip when holding the card against a strong torch or light.

I just leave mine in my bag and hold the bag close to the sensor thingie to scan

The RF cards have a coil antenna that is about 2/3 the width of the card, you cannot only cut the chip out and use it without the antenna.

Ok so i filed it, stripped my Iphone 4gs put the card in the back, then closed it up again.

:-)

The problem is to bog to fit into the security gates card scanner, the little weather proof roof its got obstructs it LOL
But it work on my Server Room

I have some old RF cards. One I couldn't open it. The plastic was bonded to the coil wiring. The second one opened very easy. and there you can see the coil inside.
