Guys, that's a "leaker".
Wait until CDPR says it, otherwise it's just a rumour. They've typically been fairly transparent.
The act of postponement was leaked every time except for the time it was postponed after going gold (not even the staff of CDPR knew about it hence the big argument with the community which resulted in death threats which wasn't justified). There is odd comms going on at the company.
Who knows, maybe the CDPR execs are doing this for marketing, not only hyping up the market, but also their investment portfolio. Announce launch date, accelerate sales, postpone launch date, rinse and repeat.
People may disagree all they want with me. Before the first postponement there was close to no marketing driving the actual sale of the game, after that postponement they started a clear marketing campaign. They introduced the factions, they introduced the weapons, they introduced the character builder, etc., etc., etc., Manufacturers started to push out limited edition Cyberpunk branded items, CDPR sponsored competitions galore.
It was barely after the early reviewers sample that popular YouTubers and reviewers, and other from certain communities, praised their good fortunes for having the opportunity to have their voices in the game, some saying that it was a most recent opportunity at that time. I guess there was a NDA, but I won't know.
What I am saying is, the game was never ready to be launched when they first said it will launch, and I am sure they knew it wasn't going to be ready by their next announced date. This questions it all the more why they announced Gold, maybe perhaps due to COVID restrictions having the game produced to disc before a possible logistical nightmare which may cause them distribution issues which is best to be avoided in a market where there are more bitches than players, but announcing Gold does give incentive for market the market to warrant pre orders. I won't be surprised that they have made their best sale run since going Gold for that period of time.
Jim Sterling wasn't wrong that the market is absolutely in love with CDPR. Give it three more years.
