Hi guys,

I have had my account up and running for 3 days only. I have the telkom 384 speed and I have the cybersmart 3 gig account.

I have not touched any streaming audio, video or even downloaded any programs. I am not connected wirelessly.

I have only been browsing web pages, which i know uses bandwith, nut honestly 2.2 gigs in 3 days just to view web pages.

Has any one else had a problem like this, or can anyone suggest what i do about it.

Thanks

I will change my password right now. I dont know how to change mt router lgins. The usage logs show my connections, times and the bandwith used. Are these accurate?

I think they are accurate but the question is whether u made those connections, anything weird about the times/number of connections? Wat router do u have, mayb some1 here has it and knows how to change the password

I have a metopia. The tomes and connections look right.

Funny this, my sister had exactly the same problem, people are somehow hijacking accounts and for some reason Cybersmart is often on the list.

Thats so bad. People hijacking other accounts.

I want to change my password with my isp but apparently they can change it for me only. Whats th epoint of that. My password is my password, i dont want them knowing it.

No one got the account password from the router. He is using the router in bridged mode and therefore is dialing up to the account ;)

by the way bullfrog, i emailed them to ask if i can change my password, they said they must do it for me, i cant do it myself. So if i give them my new password, whats the point.

Not 2 get arrested or people cross but, i know of people that use other peoples accounts and they do not get the details through logging into routers, its all inside jobs eg: techies, support, pretty much where ever a password has been exchanged...

Cause on the lists of the accounts they also have the business names and then almost every branch in SA's accounts aswell...

I say no more...

Yeah I know that you can't change it yourself, but the idea of getting it changed is to prevent someone who already has the account details to use it. The way a lot of people get account details is to log into your router and then get it from there. So that won't help if it's an inside job.

If I believed that a staff member is using my account that I paid for then I would report it to the ISP, if they don't provide me with a satisfactory resolution, then I would switch to a different ISP immedietly.
