Cybersmart Weekender Terms and Conditions

Cybersmart have recently introduced another one of their "unique" type of add-on features known as Weekender. According to them this will allow you to download between 3-5 times your cap during the weekend. Of particular importance is the weekend 3 package . But I see that it is not available to 4Mb lines. They do not explain how the packages work in conjuction with nightrider but the following statement is under their FAQ's :

What happens if I am on a 4MB circuit on Weekender AND Night Rider?
If you are on the Internet during Night Rider time over the weekend, the discount multiplies — ie. five times for Night Rider and 10 times for Weekender equals a total of 50 (5 x 10) times your Cap. So if you download 25 Gigs during this time, only 0.5 Gigs (25 Gigs divided by 50) will count towards your Cap. If you are making use of this, please be careful during the early hours of Monday morning, Weekender ends at 5.59 am and Night Rider ends at 7.59am.

But they have taken the weekender 3 option and multiplied the rates with the nightrider tariff, but according to them this is not available on a 4Mb line. So are they advertising something that is unachievable ?

What about the other options, do they also multiply with nightrider installed eg Weekender 1
: 3x5 = 15 times your cap?

Uncapped on Weekender 3 is not available but 10 x 5 is... As advertised...

that is also my question.if i have 3 gb cap with cybersmart wil i be able to get 3 x 50=150gb by taking weekender and nightrider options?

Agreed. I'm a bit disappointed with rapidshare though. In the past I was unable to utilize the 150gig per month allocation but now with this Weekender deal from Cybersmart my consumption has more than doubled (298gigs in feb). Rapidshare premium account is limited to 5gigs per day...

As soon as my exchange supports 4 meg I will swap to this, on uncapped 384 at the moment.

Uncapped is great but there is a limit to the things I want, I'm looking for speed now.

Agreed. I use 384kbps at my shop and it's frustratingly slow!! Cheap but slow...

The most you can do during nightrider time slot on weekends is 114gigs at a total cost to cap of 2.28gigs... The balance of your 3gig cap would be 0.72gig which you can use x 10 for another 7.72gigs, total 121.72gigs.... Not bad for R648 per month...

Cybersmart are confused themselves

After my post here, I decided to sign up for weekender 3 . I must mention that I have emailed cybersmart with regards to this before making my post. Yesterday I received this post from their support desk.

We made an example using 4MB circuit but Weekender 3 is not available
on 4MB circuit.

So i've signed up for weekender 3 on a 4mb line, keen to test it out this weekend..
Anyone else on weekender 3, nightrider & 4Mb Line ?

Yeah, it's awesome. Not sure I understand the issue with the 4mbps and Weekender3 though...

Question: What's cybersmart's plan for when 4mb cirbuits are upgradedto 8mb? This obviously leads to faster downloads during weekender nightrider times.

Haven't done the calculations but if you double sandmans calculations its +/-220 gigs for 4.5 gigs of cap.

I'm still on a 4mb circuit. But checked my router and it displays ADSL2+. Maximum line rate:
15540 kbps :erm:

On a 4mb line is working as it should. Are you having issues? On weekender3 on a 384kbps line over the weekend cost to bandwidth should be zero...
