Anyone know if Cybersmart is still actively deploying? I've seen a Cybersmart Pre-Order page for Parow for ages now...seems like a proper bargain but there's just no information anywhere.

I mean this is R2 more than an OpenServe/Afrihost 100/50 line...and my neighbor is looking to finally get fibre installed at home due to new renters being WFH

This is not a promo. The price is R799pm the promo part is where you get it free until June 2025. After that, the normal price of R799 applies.

We are working on your order. The new wholesale portal doesn't have your address yet so we are working with Cybersmart to get that fixed and have you activated.

While the promo states 1000mb a month for R799, as soon as you fill in your street address, it becomes R2347

Misleading advertising IMHO

  • New signups get a 1000Mbps package for free until 31 May 2025.
  • Promo valid to new signups before 31 May 2025.
  • Price will revert to list price (R700pm) from 01 June 2025.

I think he might be filling in his address and getting another provider when checking coverage - I get Vuma when I enter my address on that page and the price is obviously very different.

I don't and I don't expect to have, but I could see it being confusing because you're searching for the address on the Cybersmart page and expecting the Cybersmart packages to show up.
 
I don't really need 1000 mbps. Is it possible to have 200/200 instead?

Its misleading as screenshot one says "Cybersmart brought to you by afrihost"

So bait and switch

Don't give "hence" stories here to justify BS. Remove your misleading statements, fix your ads, clean up your T & Cs, respect the law of the land and your customers
