Cycling

Well done Tadej! His 3rd Tour of Flanders win.

Paris Roubaix next weekend.

Paris Roubaix is such a relentless race and it will definitely be Tadej's toughest challenge to crack... MvdP is just such a beast in this race especially. But, so far so good for Tadej this season. It can be done, but the playing field is much more level.

Wout outsprints Tadej and wins his first Paris Roubaix. Great race.

Haha I've never seen chickens running across the road in cycling until jist now in the women's Paris Roubaix.

Question is why did they cross the road?

Another trophy on Vingegaard's mantle.

On the female side, Lorena Wiebes won the first stage only to be disqualified from the tour after her bike failed the minimum weight limit.
20g under.

Good. I don't really watch women's cycling but rules are rules and bike weight is one of the strictest rules in pro cycling. Teams/mechanics and riders know this.

There is a South African race for just about every kind of cyclist, but working out which one to actually enter is harder than it sounds, especially when you are newer to it and not sure what you can finish. So I put together a small planner to help you choose.

Anyone interested can have a look here: https://southafricafacts.co.za/find-a-cycling-race-south-africa/

How time flies. Almost Tadej's TDF time again. Found the 2026 guide today, so all set :)

Tour de France starts tomorrow guys. In Palestine Barcelona. First TTT since 2019. Around 5pm on SS6 on dstv.

Pogacar again this year?

Thought he retired long ago. Haven't seen him in a race in ages.

Was never a fan btw.

First little test done. Visma wins stage 1 by, Vingegaard in yellow.

Ineos 2nd with Ganna, UAE/Pogacar 3rd.

For the last 20 or so years there has been at least one SA rider in the peloton at almost every tdf. Those days are over. End of an era :p. Wonder when we'll see SA riders in the Tour again..... could be years.

Would be awesome if we get another SA or SA connected World Tour or ProTeam like Barloworld and Qhubeka one day. Currently our biggest team is Tshenolo captained by Reinhardt Janse van Rensburg and they have achieved Continental status this year. Can't qualify for grand tours but hopefully some of their riders will be picked up by World/Pro teams in the future.
