Torito thought he was doing the work for Pogacar, but right at the end Pogacar went up to Torito and told him "Go! Go! Go!", trailing behind him so that Torito could take the stage win. The surprise on his face when he realised that Pogacar was behind him and he had a TDF stage win was awesome.

Pogacar is there for the overall win. He's letting his teammate Del Toro win his first ever tdf stage (which also puts him in the lead for the white jersey for now). Del Toro thought he was leading out the sprint for a Pogacar win.

Was watching today's stage and it was pretty damn cool seeing some of the real-life locations from one of my all-time favourite adventure games: Gabriel Knight 3 (1999).

Just a glorious finish.

Cat 3 climb to the finish line on Sunday. Isaac worked his ass off on that last lap climb, marking every move and pulling for Tadej who could have blown him away in the last 200 meters... but didn't. Let Isaac take the win while still making up time on Jonas.

UAE got the win with Isaac, Tadej closed the gap to Jonas (and then wiped it out totally by taking his own win yesterday)... Good for the team overall, gracious from Tadej, and powerful for Isaac who you just know will now absolutely, positively drag himself through hell for Tadej when it really counts in week three.

Tomorrow is the Tourmalet. Rare to have it in week one. 2023 was the only other week one appearance in my lifetime.

Best stage so far and the first real battle up and down the Tourmalet with Tadej coming out on top. Out-climbed, out-descended and outrode everyone else (as expected lol), he wins the stage and he reclaims yellow. The greatest!
