Hi
i need some help with the d-link setup
My isp is wisp with a mikrotik router ip 192.168.1.1 I gave the wan on the d-link a ip of 192.168.1.2 the LAN 192.168.2.1 and dhcp enabled on LAN. Firewall have been disabled, I can ping 192.168.1.1 but cant ping the internet ( www.google.co.za). If I connect straight on to the mikrotik router, then can I ping the internet. have used bout ip's for the gateway and dns

Its most likely a dns issue. When you do an nslookup do you get any resolution?
not sure what you mean by bout ip's for gateway and DNS?
try using an external dns like googles new dns servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, set ur default gateway to 192.168.2.1
do you get resoltion then?

can you confirm ur dhcp settings on the laptop have the correct info?
