D3 Demon Hunters Conclave

Absolutely. Been looking for a decent Ammy for ages. The blackthorne set helps with the elite damage redux and elite bonus dmg which is why I'm holding my own.

If I can drop swap chc and ChD around on an item I might try that.

Ye try and drop it where you can.

I just had a look at your profile though. Doesn't look like any sensible place to drop it really

Ideally you dont want to drop 9.5% crit chance on the frostburn gauntlets. I guess it might be a temporary option while you wait for the extra CHD from a new Ammy and RORG.

The best thing I think you could do is find a more optimised rorg. If you can manage to get one that has either a socket or CHD as a base roll. Then you could reroll life on hit into the other stat.
Ideal RORG is Dex, AS(Rolls with this so no choice) CHD 50%, Socket.
Who knows you might get an ancient one in the process.

I know what you mean about the Blackthorns set. I have the exact same setup as you with a blackthorns Ammy and belt. Although I started using it because I rolled a near perfect Ammy. From memory it is like 720+ Dex, +-100% CHD and 9.5 or 10% CHD, and rerolled a socket out of the 4th stat.

I dont think I would trade the blackthorns 2+3 set bonus and that Ammy for anything less than a perfect hellfire ammy and a perfect witching hour together. One without the other is just not worth it.

Got a profile link?

I attempted a GR38 in a party of 3 DH last night, density on the first map was a nightmare, 2 of us lagged out quite heavily towards the end and we missed it by a couple minutes

Current discussions are that rolling out the main stat on a perfectly rolled item would yield better dps/toughness than keeping the main stat... even with ancients

I am struggling to see the relevance here though. I mean how many cases do we actually have where you can roll out the main stat for anything at all really?

SoJ if you rolled:
Elite Dmg
The right element
CHD
Dex

But even then you are rolling the Dex into a socket.

On armour pieces I am having a hard time coming up with a case where the dex would get moved. Ammy is probably the only piece where I can see that happening.

The perfect Ammy is:
20% Element
10% CHC
100% CHD
Socket

So if you landed perfect rolls of 3, roll the dex into the 4th stat, sure. Finding that perfect piece where the dex would be the stat to roll is really scarce though.

So I got myself an ancient Natalyas handbow. It rolled with a socket and lowish dmg so I had to keep the socket and reroll the higher dmg (Would have liked to get cost reduction on the socket and put a Rama Gift instead, but oh well)
Dropped my mara chest for the natalyas chest from my stash.
I am now running 6pMara, 3pNats, 3pBlackthorn.

Should be fun for a while.

Also have 79 disci to vault around with.

Finally smashed a GR40 last night solo, with more than 2min to spare.

After that I got a well-rolled Ancient Natalya's Slayer (just shy of max damage, 998 dex and 7% dmg with a socket), and I had a very well-rolled Natalya's Reflection in my stash, so busy playing with that. I was busy upgrading all my lower level GR stones to early 40's, and managed to do a GR37 in 7m27 (even after dying many times). I think I should be able to do a GR41 or 42 with some luck.

I don't have any Gifts at the moment, so will leave the 1h xbow as is until I get some luck. I rarely see the gifts drop. I got 9 in my first 3 weeks since they were introduced, and in the months since then only 2 or 3 have dropped. I recklessly spent them on stupid weapons, thinking they were common drops.

Something I've noticed is that if I get the "blue" elite packs, I can melt them in seconds, but if I get a "yellow" champion with minion, it takes me ages to kill. Don't know if they have a serious amount of health over elite packs or something, or because our single target DPS sucks. Anyone else experienced that?

About as scarce as finding a well rolled ancient :)

Legendary gems are roughly a 20% dps upgrade each despite what the sheet dps might say, you'd need a couple thousand main stat to match a bane of the powerful for example

When you're trying to squeeze out as much dps as you can, dex is as useful as vit

Thank you

So jealous of that Etrayu! How are you finding Seethe? The 90sec cd is offputting

Etrayu is pretty handy hehe.

I very much like Vengeance, it chews up bigger packs and elites extremely fast.
Ignoring CDR and whatnot, Prep should give you about 3-4 odd cycles in place of 1 Vengeance, although during a Vengeance you can fill/deplete your hatred probably close to 3-4 times anyway. So you gain more burst damage instead of an even spread, which I'm ok with. It also pairs extremely well with some of the pylons.

But I'm continually trying new skills/items, so I'll probably switch it up again soon.

Im happy also with Vengeance - Seethe, it really makes a huge impact on elites

Grats on 40. Blues are mostly pretty soft/weak. Although on GR39 I got a giant spawning blue anarch pack that kept trying to run me over, they took quite a while to kill. But in general blues will go down pretty quick. Yellow packs can be a lot tougher imo, but it really depends on their skills/setup as well. Overall I can't say that they were frustrating me too much, as compared to your general white/blue mob.

What skills are you using?

Blizzard's claim to have nerfed the Corrupted Angels charge range are non-existent, got gibbed a couple times in a GR37 when 2 angels flew out of nowhere (offscreen) after my awareness proc'ed :(

I got another Calamity last night in the brief moment my internet connection was stable enough to play on the PC. Just wish I could try my hand at some greater rifts, but the ping (500 if good, 1000-2000ms if not) makes that impossible. Sure I'd be able to crack the 40s without too much trouble.

I definitely think the console version is quite a bit easier than the PC one. My console and PC chars have roughly the same damage, but with the double damage from Nephalem globes the PS4 char feels way more powerful even if it lacks all the nice gear.

Humor

Perhaps they misplaced the maps and Corrupt Angels position or location in the GR.

I had this morning those sh afters that steal you live first map full of them.

Some people have all the luck. I have yet to pick up a single Calamity since RoS hit.

Since it was lower damage than the one I picked up earlier the week and not ancient it got salvaged. Felt errible to do it, but with limited stash an evil necessity.

Just play with Marmite for 10minutes, you will find every rare item, that guy has the best luck of anyone i know

Using the pretty standard Cold-CA spec:
LMB: Evasive Fire - Focus
RMB: CA - Maelstrom
1: Vault - Tumble
2: Sentry - Polar Station
3: Companion
4: Prep - Punishment
Passives: Cull the Weak (from HF amulet), Custom Eng, Steady Aim, Awareness, Ballistics

I've found that the cold build completely smashes the fire CA I tried earlier, and I cannot figure out why. On the PTR I smashed everything with the fire build, but it just doesn't work for me now.

I also dropped the Enforcer gem for the BotP.

Does the bolts of the polar station also chill enemies? If it does I might give that a go on the PS4. Still can't figure out a good way to trigger BotT and CtW without a Kridershot. If polar station bolts work it might be an option since their chill effect isn't ideal because you can't control placement.
