Thats exactly the point i was making, 2 x 130CHD with 1H bows will beat any combo of 1H/quiver that ive seen. I was using Sin seekers quiver and a 1H hellrack i think it was with 2500 sheet DPS on the bow. The bow had a gem for 130CHD

I then slotted in two 1H bows with sockets each with a 130CHD gem and both around 2500 sheet DPS. My sheet DPS shot up by over 200k DPS right there

Thanks for the feedback guys. Did a quick swap last night just to check what the dual one-handed crossbows will do to my sheet DPS. Took a 300k DPS nose-dive. I am not sure how a 130CHD gem in that elusive socket I still have to roll on one of them will recover that big a loss in DPS.

Your ChD would jump immediately for one.

The Windforce is great when solo'ing or playing with other DH's or Wiz - if you play with Barbs or Monks, you keeping knocking them away from the effective range of a melee character.

Needs to be decent one-handers though - ie at least 2500 DPS

I didn't look properly - didn't notice the socket.

Could also put a nice big emerald for the Dex or if the socket can roll something decent (like ChD) but I don't think it can 'cos it's a secondary affix.

That socket is a primary, can def re-roll it. Here's mine

Yep, think I'll change to an emerald (my DH was still my n00b char, I've learned a lot playing the crusader) :p

And the point I am making is that 2H's have higher base damage rolls to make up for this. With perfect gear for CC/CHD the difference between the two is 5% sheet DPS, however the actual average damage from your skills (per hit) is 36% in favour of the 2H Xbow

So no, its not 2x as much per hit (I should've realised this since the 1H doesnt get a 2x speed advantage) but the fact remains
DW = lots of low damage hits (great for proc effects for example)
2H xbow = few big damage hits (better for DoT skills for example)
 
Is this (as I suspect) crap, or can I reroll it into something decent? I stopped due to being out of souls...

My potential one-handed crossbows. Good or bad? Second one I am trying to roll a socket still.



 
I rolled the socket on the first one. I have very bad luck when it comes to sockets in general. Thus I have no souls at the moment to roll the second one. Time to put on my farming jean pants.
