D3 Demon Hunters Conclave

My suspicion is that it depends on the fight. On a guardian, the Krider should win. Because you wont have enough health globes to keep you topped off indefinitely so you have to weave generators and spenders together.

But on normal trash and most elites, you should have an ample supply of health globes to keep your hatred up with minimal generator shots. In that case I suspect that the ancient Xbow would win out.

Let us know how the testing goes though
/wishes for Kridershot or Calamity

What are people using as their generator (cold build) when they have a Kridershot

Spot on with that suspicion! Keeping the Krider in my bag for those solo fights

Picked up this last night which has really helped

Elemental arrow with cold rune is the only generator to use for a cold build that has Kridershot.

Without Krider I have found that Evasive fire with focus is pretty good. Focus is a cold rune, that does aoe and increases hatred generation to 7 or something per shot. It is really handy.

Nice, how are you finding the gameplay while trying to keep the buff active. I would imagine that any elite with jailor, desecrate, mortar, leap, teleport, vortex, etc.... just wrecks that buff. Trash mobs should be "okay" most of the time, but it does mean that vaulting around to pick up health orbs is much riskier I would think. One slight nick and your buff is gone for 5 whole seconds.

BTW, loving those ancient stats on it. Great find. I am guessing you farmed through quite a few pride's falls to eventually get that one?

Yup, that's what I'm using.

Picked up an ancient hell trapper that gave me a 12% dps boost over my nats - I do miss the speed of the Nats though

It's made me pretty lazy, I spot enemies/pets start attacking in the distance, drop a Polar Station sentry and then empty my Hatred orb into them and loot the health globes :p I don't usually have to worry about the buff dropping

I wasn't prepared to farm more than one to be honest, it's the only luck I've had so far!
But I might do it again for a non-ancient version already with +crit and a socket to roll the vit into +CA

I ran a lot of tests yesterday, all on GR35 where I can get a pretty consistent finishing time.
(Note that I don't have a Krider)

Cold > Fire : Going all fire you lose the stuns/damage buffs, but even so it wasn't ridiculously worse. Changing out Bane of the Trapped with e.g. a Zei might make up a bit of the difference. For now I prefer cold though.

2h > 1h : On raw damage stat my crossbow does the same damage as my Calamity, but it performs slightly better even with Cala's better MfD+Hatred Regen.

Frostburn vs Cindercoat vs Blind Faith: I have a high dps Blind helm, it works pretty well but isn't as good as Cindercoat. Equally Cinder with Fire isn't as good as going Frostburn/cold.

Overall most items are now pretty close, you can really work with a lot of them if you get something with a very high dps roll.

As for the new patch, I don't really feel that we do a crapload more damage, it feels as if we now do a bit more damage with currently slightly worse gear. Our toughness has also gone up vs what the enemies are doing to us and we're dying a lot less.

I need to re-roll that damage% to 10% to get within 83 points of what a perfect top damage re-roll would have been though.

Was really unsure whether to roll the socket for the damage% bonus or re-roll the Damage stat...

Ah well, done is done

Marmite and I hit 2 giant goblin packs, 8-10 each then followed by some 2's. Think I got 16 Legs and a crapton of other mats.

I also got this nice toy earlier:

Wow that Etrayu is epic, are you still busy rolling the IAS into +% Damage?

I picked up an Ancient Windforce but I'm fighting with myself whether the +400dps sheet dps is worth the difference in damage range

Windforce (3600) 1800-3000
Arcane Barb (3200) 2500-3000

And
Krider Non Season.

Did with Animal GR37 and 38 with Season 1 char.

With that ancient Nats slayer, have you tried out a 5 piece Marauder's + 3 piece Nat's build? (RORG required)

I tried a Nats 2 + RRoG and even though it has sheet DPS of about 250k more than the Krider + SoJ, I'm game performance of the second combo is much better.

GR 30 with the 2nd combo was relatively easy, with the first combo I barely got out of the starting blocks

My Nats bow isn't an ancient though

@Oculate

Nats ring + Xbow. Will try if i still have a ring. That is the ring that looks like a star and some roundish centre.
Then i need a socket in that ring. NATALYA'S REFLECTION

3 Set with Ring of RORG

Natalya's Slayer
(2) Set:
+250 Dexterity
+10 Maximum Discipline (Demon Hunter Only)
(3) Set:
Critical Hit Chance Increased by 7.0%
+10 Maximum Discipline (Demon Hunter Only)

DEX + CHC 7% bonus.
