D3 Demon Hunters Conclave

Hello

When I Autocast one or more skills, the my game darn slow?
N6 set, Straf under numlock 1 button.

Is this happening to you guys?

You mean your game starts lagging? Mine stays the same; BUT I don't think you can autocast Strafe, because it will conflict with other skills, such as when you press Evasive.

Only autocast things on a timer, like Wolf, Prep etc.

You fire 3 rockets as well, one of them should hit something?

You have to hit with both a resource generator and a spender. Rockets come from the spender (Strafe), so it will only proc one buff. This brings us to the whole challenge of the build: to be able to flick the mouse at the mobs and cast an EF, before popping back in a direction away from the mobs.

The original guide on N6 actually recommends you have strafe on autocast and force move on space bar. I've tried it and it doesn't work for me. I also struggled immensely to be able to cast my EFs.

No, if i strafe in autocast the move speed is very slow. Move via mouse cursor.

It feel's like 1/4 normal mouse speed. No network lagging. Need to check force move as Yster suggested.

@Marmite, this is how I play:
LMB: EF - Focus
RMB: Strafe (I find it easy to hold down this button down most of the time, no cramping)
1: Companion - Wolf
2: SS - Lingering Fog
3: RoV - Stampede
4: Preparation - Focused Mind

Autocast: companion & preparation
Force stand still: spacebar (default is shift, but this will destroy your hand).

So, when I play I keep spacebar pressed with my thumb and my middle and index fingers on 2 and 3. I keep RMB pressed and fly about shooting things. Since spacebar is held down, the moment I left click, it shoots EF.

Whilst casting Strafe, you do move slower, unless you use the lightning rune on it. I see no point in perma-strafing, since sometimes there's nothing to shoot at.

It takes some practise, it is not an easy playstyle, but you will gradually get used to it, and it is very rewarding once you start getting it right. Don't give up to soon.

Is this what they call stutter stepping. My PC complains about stuck keys, using Win8.1.

Stand still - shift
Force move - space
Easy enough

Linking it to the mouse is a good idea though

Space bar is for noobs, noobs!
Manly men use 5 or v.

Pressing a small button is easier than space bar. I used to use v but then I realised that 5 is even easier. The only downside of 5 is that you move your index finger between 4 and 5, but since I have rain on 4 I don't need to ever press both at the same time, so its ok.

I use win 7, but that sounds like a sticky keys issue. Disable all the disability stuff (if you press for example shift 5+ times quickly etc, disable all the options there - although I'm not sure if it works exactly the same in win 8.1)

You've overplayed your hand, real men use WASD, not the dirty number keys :p

Ye also have space for stand still.... pinky was crying that the shift key is bullying him...
Did not know about a force move, is that the button you hit when you cursed after you clicked and the damn char don't move anywhere.... gonna link that to something for sure... thanks!

Lol WASD, that's for fake girly fps men that follows convention ;)
Real-er men use ESFC for anything requiring movement, no need to move a finger around...it also gives you easier access to more buttons on the left/right than what you can reach with WASD.

The forums are so quiet all of a sudden. So I'll try to get some noise going here.

I watched a GR59 vid from Wudijo earlier. Glad to see he uses the exact same gems that I prescribed for N6 Fire: Iceblink, Zei's and BotT. No Gogok in sight, since it's crap. His setup confirms it.

He has a Hellfire ammy with CtW on it. I was hoping to avoid the HA crafting, but seems it would have to happen.

I currently thus have two goals with my DH at the moment:
  • I would like to grind keys for the amulet (again, le vomit), so if anyone is keen, let's make a group of four and smash it.
  • I would like to grind 55, 56 and 57 trial keys with a proper group. It's just a pain in the ass to get 55+ keys on my own.

I can only really commit to Mondays and Thursdays because my wife is off and I can game unhindered. Other days I can game, but get interrupted. Anyone of any class is welcome.

Who's keen?
