DA apologises for wrong crime stats

Just as disturbing that national gov. missed it too:

Did they get pwned too?

lol, especially after they claimed that the DA is not responsible for any change in the number of crimes in Khayelitsha! Talk about shooting oneself in the foot. Heheh :D:D:D

Why do people call this a "big" skrewup? It's only a statistic they got wrong showing good progress instead of extraordinary progress, with a legit human error and acknowledgment of it.

The embarassing part is that no one cared to check with the residents concerned. Instead they relied on the statistics.

Whoever thinks that the DA released the crime stats as a service to the communities that they serve is naive. The DA released the stats to achieve a political Agenda, that's the whole point why the did. I really don't know for how long has the DA been in charge of Western Cape & Khayelisha, if crime was really of paramount importance they should know at all times how many police stations they have, if the police stations were built in the last 3 months maybe I would have been more understanding.

1. Why did they choose to release crime stats reduction for the last 5 years? Why not year on year?

The ANC could simply say "hey we have reduced the murder rate from 66.9 per 100 000 in 1994 to 34 per 100 000, lets celebrate because murder is down by 32.6%"

A political party with a political agenda! Thank you for your genius contribution! So glad we have you to point these things out.

You know, I'm beginning to suspect that businesses have a for-profit agenda. Can you confirm this for me?
