Helen was a member of the Black Sash.
 
I am unsure as to what constitutes racism.

In particular, this case of a DA person saying that "zuma has more wives than brain cells." is commonly described as racist. Now I can understand the statement being described as insulting, slanderous or true, but not racist.

Is it racist because it is applied to zuma?
Is it racist because it's applied to a black person even though the statement doesn't include colour or race?
Is it racist because it was made by a member of the DA?

By establishing the Dlamini Family Figuratively may actually mean black royalty, meaning that Ramphele do not want to be the queen in the Zille organisation, thus only being a Black Face with very little input, this is how I see the matter. This may also mean that Ramphele want to run the organisation on a larger scale, which were unacceptable and I think it is due to this that the internal trouble started while in discussion.

It is also now quite clear that Ramphele is challenging DA votes and not directly ANC votes and this is very interesting due to the Ramphele and Zille relationship. Something happened, what? I do not know…

She didn't want to participate in corporate style fronting. More plainly: she didn't want to be a puppet.

I realised that I made this error not to mention her as a member. In a previous article I read that this was brought up in the discussions between Agang and ANC. I’m trying to get that article, but I think it was on the Black Sash website.

Yeah, the WC is a "scar" of racism, but that's is a sign of healing. Looking at other provinces the blood is still pouring out of the infected wound where the ANC is the infection.

Typical DA approach, it's a big taboo that shouldn't be mentioned even though it affects many people everyday.

Lets break this down.

"AGANG SA leader Dr Mamphela Ramphele on Tuesday launched a thinly veiled attack on the Democratic Alliance (DA), saying the party "just did not understand" that the scars of racism had not entirely healed."

She claims the Democratic Alliance "does not understand racism". Why would the Democratic Alliance not understand racism? The average answer was because there are so many white people in the DA so they do not understand racism. That in my books is an insinuation of racism from white members in the DA.

Racism is a pregidous based on skin color. Looks like she is saying because there are white people they wont understand. Which is pregidous based on skin color.

Wanna really know what affects the people that I work with every day? Its not racism ... its the piss poor economic situation where youth are unable to get jobs.

ANC has you well distracted with racial issues ;)

I do not know this particular incident but such were many. White policemen painting their faces black and killing blacks commuting to work in trains, police arming and joining IFP thugs in shooting random citizens in the townships with machine guns. All this evil happened after Mandela's release.

Unlike all us labeled "ANC supporters" who don't follow the ANC and are labeled as such as a put down, Ghoti is actually a DA supporter. i've seen saks and cool e called worse things than i've been called

But it is an affront to me though and the millions others that have experianced this racism. Racism on every level from growing up in the Free State in the 90s and being used to being called the k-word by white people, till today where even as we have made huge strides, racism is far more subtle like the infamous white lady grabbing her handbag a lot tighter as you walk into an elevator in a hotel you are BOTH staying at!!

The crux of the issue here Maverick, is that you just don't understand and with comments like "build a bridge and get over it", I doubt you ever will. Which is fine for a private individual like yourself, however for a political party that claims to treasure the aspirations of a country and ALL its people in it, they better damn get a grip and UNDERSTAND, IMO
 
I also have personally experienced racism. You wear a blue DA shirt and walk through many of our townships. Ive also been in an armed robbery with a gun to my head where I was called racist names. You dont see me calling it out every second. Anyone who thinks racism in this country is a whites only issue is a ****ing idiot. Some people need to grow up and stop being distracted by race wars while you are robbed blind.

In America the Republicans concentrate on abortion and immigrant issues, in Saudi they push religious and gender issues, in South Africa its race. Same old same old. Keep people focused on backwards issues so no one focuses on the real important issues.

True , we have been labelled names by "Da fans" here. But as freedom fighters we dont take them seriously.
