I scourged the net, but could not get the article I read.

What I read is how Fransman went on with his troubled mindset (ANC orientated), similar to this article:

- The party leadership, its Western Cape cabinet, MP's, MPL's and councillors remain mainly pale and male;
- Government business the DA is in control of goes to mainly white owned companies;
- Senior management jobs in DA administrations go mainly to white people;
- Transport services in Cape Town by the BRT are delivered in the historically white areas only;
- Service delivery in the white areas is prioritised at the expense of delivering houses and service sites to African and coloured poor;
- The protection of mainly white farmers who super-exploit black workers and the rubbishing of the Human Rights Watch and other reports which documented the exploitation of farm workers;
- The attempt to close down schools which cater for the mainly poor coloured and African communities;
- The attempt to disallow Klopse marches in the City of Cape Town and in so doing attacks the history and culture of coloured people;
- Its attempts to prevent mosques from being built in historically white middle class areas such as Pinelands that boast more churches per square kilometer than most suburbs in the country;
- Its resistance to the recognition of the Khoisan people and their land claims;
- Its unequivocal support for Israel and its failure to support the Palestinian people no matter what human rights abuses they suffer;
- Its closing down of community structures in our historically coloured and African areas and cutting funding for the Provincial Development Council and Community Police Forums;
- Its slashing of funds for Non-Governmental Organisations in our historically coloured and African poorer areas such as the Saartjie Baartman centre; and
- Its blatant racist remarks by referring to black people as refugees, professional blacks and even elephants.

Then a remark was made toward his Real Facts, which was related to the Black Sash:

Here are the facts

- Zille was a member, an executive member of the Black Sash which favoured sanctions against the Apartheid Regime, and who helped Black folk with legal representation. Please those whose family members were helped by the Black Sash please make your voice heard and blog in defence of Zille and her ilk.
- Zille lead the end of conscription campaign which forced white 18yr old boys to go to the army, or face a jail sentence.
- Zille and her husband had a safe house for the ANC. ANC speak up and also confirm this. That is why Mbeki embraced her when she became leader of the Opposition and refused to speak with Tony Leon.
- Zille alerted Mandela to a right wing plot just before 1994 elections.
- Zille stood for what is right in the Apartheid days and stands for what are right today.
- Zille is not perfect, but no-one can deny that she is passionate about uplifting the downtrodden and works so hard that she only sleeps 4hr a night. She is a workaholic and does everything to her best ability. Ask any of her immediate staff who are at work behind their desks at 6am in the morning.
- Helen Zille has earned the right to stand tall next to Helen Joseph, Helen Suzman and walks the talk of the Helen predecessors.
- Helen Zille has the integrity we all should aspire to.

Then an accusation by Agang was made towards Zille’s association with Black Sash. This was all during the Helen Suzman debacle and they (white woman) were not part in the struggle but only protesters. Then some mentioning by the ANC. I really cannot get the article I read, but it was in blog on an organisational website. Should I be correct the entire Black Sash organisation back in the day were white woman… I’m not sure to be correct on this one. But I think the accusation is pointed towards today’s (since 1994) Black Sash who actively shapes the legislation by making submissions and not only protests.

The above quoted article is basically the most similar remarks as made within the article I read without the Agang and Core ANC (not those ramblings made by Fransman) remarks.

I really need to post the article I read, since it puts things in another perspective I’m not sure about now.

Generally I get the idea that Ramphele wants more individual power in governing towards her ideal SA.

I wouldn't get too upset about this, it is just Ramphele trying to set her new movement apart from both DA and ANC. By making comments like this she hopes to attract voters who are fed up with ANC but have trust issues with the DA.

Simple as that.

He honestly has no idea what I do and dont understand. In the same way I dont know what you understand or not. I do not know you personally. He was misrepresenting me. What I understand or dont understand did not need to enter the discussion. If you dont see the harm in that that is your choice.

Ja. It was established in the countless DJ threads that as much as people have ubuntu, they should not over exercise this great trait of humanity by feeling offence on behalf of others. I never have a problem with all the comments against me so people should not feel offended for me. And because I sometimes post unpopular opinions, I think that if I didn't think before I post, I would have been banned long ago.

It's easy to judge that from a persons post. If a person says that 2 + 3 〓 7 then I will be free to tell that person that he/she does not understand arithmetic.

saksakgp and Cool E, labels all opposing comments as DA stans, so they are relating us to something I don’t know what it means.

Please, what is a DA stan?

So... holding onto the injustices of the past, and trying to seek forms of retribution as constituted by some of the policies espoused by the government, that is the way forward? I don't agree with that ideology.

The crux of the issue here Maverick, is that you just don't understand and with comments like "build a bridge and get over it", I doubt you ever will. Which is fine for a private individual like yourself, however for a political party that claims to treasure the aspirations of a country and ALL its people in it, they better damn get a grip and UNDERSTAND, IMO

Actually, I do. Which is why I mentioned that my post is systemic to an idealistic viewpoint. Again, it went way over your head because you seem to have perceived it as an insult and probably racist (I sincerely hope not!).

The aspirations of this country are diluted and impeded, by this continual idea that holding onto the negatives of the past, and trying to reverse them, will fix things. They won't. You can't move forwards if you are not looking forwards.

I would really love it if our government, and the general populace, were forward-thinking with respect to the direction that we need to go as a people. You would think that 20 years of democracy and freedom, would have established something relatable. Yet here we are, still debating issues as if this were the 1980's, when the actual issue is the inescapable failure of our government to change things where it matters most.

Another way of saying coconut or token black person (Based on how Ive seen it used here)

The real heroes in the DA are our black people. I wrote about them. What they have to put up with the racists in their communities is amazing. It is like the liberals standing up to the racist NATs during Apartheid. You have this heavily indoctrinated community obsessed with racial issues, and you if you are part of that group you are labeled a race traitor for suggesting there are more progressive ways of dealing with life.
