DA sets record with youngest ever MP

Well well, lets hear the DA bang on about experience and merit from now on...

Is he newly added to the list because the other day radio news was saying the youngest MP is 32? How does the DA list work?

No, he was added long ago. I was at a couple of rallies with him and they called him and the other MP hopefuls onto stage. So they knew about this for months before hand.

The dude has been working non-stop for almost 3 years. He might not be our most experienced candidate but he is an incredibly hard worker and has gone to just about every town/city to help build the DA Youth.

Wyatt Roy in the Australian parliament is 23 and he has been an MP for 4 yrs and was re-elected to his second term last year.

Here he is giving advice to mining magnate Clive Palmer who started his own party and virtually 'bought' his way in through advertising.

Are we comparing someone that was at Marikana to someone with actual political ( yes only 3 years but it is longer than 3 seconds) experience?

Yes he is young, but do we not need younger people in politics? And no not just for being a random at a shooting contest. Young people working at a ground level?

I'm not saying I agree with this, I'm saying after the elections everybody was shocked about the few " born Frees " that decided to vote. Maybe we need younger people involved, and no not the old farts that call themselves the youth league. FFs 35? A youth leagues cut of should be 21. We can Fusk and work at 15, drive and vote at 18. Time to have younger people in "real" politics. Saying that I also feel that you should have some education and involvement for a few years before just being handed a position.

I don't know this person, he seemed to have a political back ground, maybe we can move away from the sleeping fatsos in parliment.

Sounds like most people are very happy, he seemed to have come from varsity days with his political career. Not bad at all. Much better that someone that can not pass woodwork or his home language.

They're no different. Both have never been in parliament and both are reported to have been at the coal face for their respective parties.

I don't agree.
What is the one from the EFF's education back ground? What is her political back ground.

This guy seems to have a solid foundation in both.

I don't believe a 24yr-old has enough maturity to make decisions for a country.

Not forgetting that no member of the public voted for him from his 'constituency'.
